Very good stay. Nice location. We love Sarasota. Felt thankful and blessed to have omelets and bacon on a complimentary buffet during pandemics. Room was clean, everyone was friendly. The view from the room was nice as well. Very happy with our stay. Thank you.

Needs some updates We spent 8 nights at this property while in Lakewood Ranch for family and friend visiting etc. as we live in the area in the winter. The staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfasts were very good with a nice selection of hot and cold items. The woman who takes care of the area was especially nice, always had a pleasant greeting and was very helpful. The location is great, close to the Interstate but still quiet. There is a Chili’s next door and next to that a local favorite for breakfast and lunch The Broken Egg. University Town square is less than a mile away for great shopping and there is a Publix in walking distance. The property though, does need improvement. Our suite was comfortable enough but dated and I was not comfortable with the cleanliness. We usually stay at Marriott properties but I don’t think we will stay at this one again unless they make some improvements.

Way below Marriott standards The room was clean. When we booked the room, we were made aware of Marriott’s requirement for masks in public places and masks and gloves in the breakfast area. That was an empty promise. Most of the people in the breakfast line were unmasked and ungloved. WE DID NOT WANT TO EAT ANY FOOD THAT PEOPLE HAD BEEN BREATHING ON! Also, the room had only one chair, and no luggage rack. Way below Marriott standards.

Was a pretty good stay for a week This place is pretty clean, the rooms are quiet (never heard anything from other guests next door), and their services are pretty tight. The pool is small but clean and safe, the hot tub is nice enough, and the exercise room is basic but fine (2 treadmills, one elliptical, and some dumbbells). Breakfast every morning could use more variety - it was the same thing every day (pre-made omelets, eggs, and one of two breakfast meats, make-your-own waffles, various fruit, 2 juices, hard boiled eggs, and breads.). It was fine but the SAME THING every day got boring. Staff is pretty friendly except the one older guy - late 50s/early 60s, dark hair - he's really grumpy and doesnt even try to pretend to be friendly or care much about guests. Emily, on the other hand, was delightful. I would definitely stay here again if I needed to be in the area. Price was legit, and overall I got what I needed and then some. Just do more for breakfast and get rid of Mr. Grumpy, and you'll have a 5-star hotel.

Excellent service Easter Sunday I lost power at home and was out several hours stretching into the evening. It was 93 degrees outside so I went looking for a hotel. My brother and wife had stayed here before and enjoyed the stay. I went in without a reservation. Armando at the front could not have been more professional or accommodating. The hotel is well kept. The breakfast the next morning was good and the staff/ service was excellent. The price was very reasonable. I’m glad I made the decision to spend the night here.
