Great place to stay, we will be back Comfortable room and a great location. Staff was helpful and friendly. Continental breakfast was good. We didn't have a chance to use the pool because it was raining most of the time we were there, the pool appear to be well maintained. There are great restaurants nearby.

A hidden gem--my new favorite hotel in Brattleboro! While I'm extremely familiar with the Brattleboro area and even lived there for a while, for some reason I only just discovered the fantastic value and experience of staying at the Black Mountain Inn. From the reservation process to check out, everything was friendly, warm, and personal. The manager worked with me to accommodate my service animal, truly treating me like an honored guest and making me feel like I was home away from home! When I walked into the lobby, the kind and extremely friendly check in clerk welcomed me with all the information I needed, and my service pet companion and I were astonished at the absolutely BEAUTIFUL decor (for example, amazing local chainsaw art) and the koi pond and fish tank! I actually wanted to just hang out for my entire stay in this gorgeous lobby, meditating on the glorious exotic fish and snacking on the arrangement of fruit laid out for us! When we got to our room, again I was so impressed with how lovely, spacious, and tasteful it was. The furniture was beautiful, the fridge and microwave very helpful, the carpet was clean, and the wifi and TV worked well. The wonderful soft extra blanket on the bed was so comfortable, as were the pillows. This place is super convenient to all shopping and dining needs, walking distance from the circus school, and the parking lot feels safe and well lit. My only slight complaint is that the water pressure in the shower was very weak, but otherwise our stay was impeccable and as I told our hosts upon leaving, the Black Mountain Inn is without question my new favorite hotel in Brattleboro. I wish I had had time to swim in the pool, which looked sparklingly clean and VERY inviting, but I had to rush off to see a show at the circus school and didn't get a chance. Next time, for sure!

Fantastic staff/customer service! I got caught in a blizzard and consequently had car trouble. I ended up staying the night at The Black Mountain Inn and feel extremely fortunate that I did so. The staff were welcoming and very helpful, including allowing me to push back my check out time, showing me around town, and driving me to the bus stop. Needless to say, I highly recommend The Black Mountain Inn!

It was a nice place to stay My family has been traveling for 9 days. We’ve stayed in 5 hotels. This was better than most that we stayed in. It was clean, had everything we needed, and the staff were friendly. I met the owner in the morning and found her to be very welcoming.

Older Motel with Thoughtful Updates We had a delightful stay. The lobby was filled with personal touches that were quirky and sweet. The room was CLEAN and much nicer than the pictures. You could tell the structure was old, but it had many thoughtful updates. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the rug new, and the bathroom good. The floors need to be reinforced, they were bouncy and weak in places. The wallpaper was peeling a little too. But, we felt safe and incredibly comfortable. When I booked, the dog fee wasn't explicitly listed. It was only $15 though. They also let us check in a bit early. We would absolutely stay again :)
