Memorial Trip to NYC following son's death. Location of this hotel relative to residences of several close friends of our late son and to the restaurant chosen for a memorial & thank-you get-together with his friends (Convivium Osteria) made it ideal. We asked for, and got a suite on a higher floor and could not have been happier. By NYC standards, room size was fine, and we got a bonus in it having its own private patio (room 1210). This hotel offers a complementary breakfast and sells a reasonable variety of beers, wine, soft drinks, snacks, etc. My wife and I got take-out Chinese food for our first evening at this hotel, from Lin's Garden on 4th Ave., took it and a bottle of Pinot Grigio from the hotel to our private patio and enjoyed a quite, relaxing dinner. This hotel is new enough to have been built with good sound suppression, so we slept and otherwise enjoyed our room without hearing much traffic noise. If back in this area, we'd seriously consider staying here again.

Must see the view from Rooftop Clean/modern feeling I had when I first walked in. The rooftop was set up for sitting, chilling and wow, the view was fantastic!!!! I ended up going there a lot. Morning, and evening after dark. You can see everything 360 view. Statue of liberty, one world trade center memorial, trains running, freeway traffic, people walking etc. I cannot express enough how wonderful that was. For free breakfast, with COVID restriction, they only had “packed” items and no hot foods. But for me, they were enough, cereal, apples, oranges, bananas, yogurt, milk, muffins/pastries, that sort. Fitness center was well cleaned/kept. In the past, in the hotel fitness centers, I had encountered many “broken/not working” equipment, but for this hotel, everything worked, which was great. As previously mentioned in the review (I just saw another review), I was NOT told that I would need “request” for housekeeping, so I absolutely did not know. I was waiting for my room cleaned while I was out all day, came back late, and realized my room was not cleaned, so I went down to the lobby and asked, at that time, first time, I was told that I would need “request”, I had no idea. They should have told me. Also the “keurig machine” in my room was not working so I called the front desk on the first day, and I was told someone would come to check. Nobody came, so I asked again on 2nd day, well, nobody came. I wished someone could have paid attention. But again, room was comfy, view was great, and location was great.

Stay here if you need to park your car Excellent choice for a hotel in Brooklyn especially if you have to park a car. Most hotels may have a garage, but there is no in and out privileges so once you park, that is it and you cannot leave. This hotel has a parking lot which makes it very easy. We were moving a son back to the city and needed to go shopping and pick up furniture, so having this ability to use the car whenever needed was helpful. The hotel itself has been updated and is very clean. Also it is very safe with a locked lobby at night - you need a key to enter or a front desk assistant buzzes you in. The breakfast is very limited, due to covid, so hopefully that gets better in time. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

Refuse to clean rooms! When we checked into the hotel time and they did not inform us that there needed to be 24 hours notice before they would have housekeeping clean our room. When we checked in, we did not even have 24 hours notice for this. They seemed extremely reluctant to do anything for the sanitation or cleanliness of our room. I am a Marriott Bon boy member. I will not be returning to any Fairfield Inn in the future.

Should be NO STARS! Worst hotel ever! This was the most poorly managed hotel I have ever had the displeaure of staying in. It took multiple calls to customer service after we got home and more than two weeks to finally be told they would not waive the room fee for the first night, but they did offer Marriott points and a lame apology. Way too little, too late.
