Hidden Gem in the Santa Ynez Valley Well done Sideways Inn! I am in the Solvang area fairly often since I lived there for 30 years and still have a few business obligations. I have stayed almost everywhere in the Valley. I stayed there on a stopover on my way south to LA. I was so pleasantly surprised at this accommodation I didn't hesitate to stay there the following week. Professional and courteous front desk. Nice bar and restaurant. I didn't use the pool or workout facility. The room was clean and comfortable. Every staff member was gracious and helpful. The price grabbed my attention and I usually am looking just for a place to lay my head. I will return.

Fun Sideways was a beautiful place with amazing rooms. me and my boyfriend really did love our stay here, but they do need to work on a few things. First, the staff was a bit rude to us whenever we asked about questions or went to the lobby for blankets or towels. I also wish that they cleaned our room more. We were there for four nights and didn’t get our room cleaned once. but overall, if you didn’t talk to, I had a great time.

If you don't like sleeping ... My family and I were kept from sleeping by a pair of rowdy young man who found it entertaining to smoke and loudly chat in front of our door in the middle of the night, 2am, and also thought that playing loud music would be a great addition to our experience. Management was nowhere to be found when I went to the lobby.

Not impressed We were a little bummed out about the TV reception. We are big television people when relaxing. AC was on and out. With warm or freezing. No in between. No hot water. Found it took over 20-25 min for water to heat up. So mostly cool showers.
