SHOWER The hotel is getting a little bit dated but I gave it a five simply because of the water pressure. When you turn on the shower, it will plant you through the back wall. Wow. That was amazing. they are telling me I have to keep writing but I have nothing else to say

Dirty!!! dated - just don’t do it. We checked in very (early) in the morning - 2am - with our 3 small children. We were exhausted since we had been in the car 8 hours already. Our room was musty and had a damp feel to it; that already made me feel gross so I cranked the AC down. Only to notice when I got to the AC, an exposed wire coming from it. (I have a very active, very curious 2 year old) . My husband just tucked it back since it was just hanging out in the room. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting - what appeared to be a dried up urine puddle on one side of the toilet, hair all over the tub, the bathroom hardly looked wiped down at all. I took a handful of toilet paper just to put down the toilet seat because I couldn’t trust it was clean. The toilet itself, I couldn’t tell if it was dirt - too old - or both. For $149 a night, I expected the room to be much cleaner - and more updated. I couldn’t tell if there was a cobweb under one bed or just damage to the furniture. Let’s put it this way, I was so grossed out I could barely sleep - Even my husband, who can tolerate almost anything, agreed that the hotel / room was musty and the room was dirty. I am afraid to see how bad it is in the daylight. The room needs a major cleaning and / or update - very disappointed with our experience.

Clean room, comfortable bed Only stayed one night. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was friendly. For something so far out it seemed a little overpriced but it was Thanksgiving weekend. About 25 minutes from the Kershaw track.

Terrible Experience This by far was the worst experience I have ever had staying at a Holiday Inn. It started off bad when I arrived. I proceeded to check in Friday, May 6th. When I arrived I found out that both my rooms were canceled due to the credit card. Apparently they charge the card 24hrs in advance and if it doesn’t go through then they cancel it. I did not receive an email saying anything about my card declining. I always keep that card on my account and then charge a different one once I get checked in. If I would have know that they were going to cancel my room the I would have given them the correct card instead of driving almost 3hrs with 3 kids to only find out my rooms were canceled. I ended up getting one of the rooms back however my 2 12 year olds had to sleep on the floor. So Sunday we left the hotel before 9:00am which was May 8th. I look at my account Sunday evening and see two pending charges, one for $150 and the other for $100. So i work in a Holiday Inn myself so I do know that they have pending charges that fall off. I wasn’t worried about it. Well, was I wrong. I called the hotel this morning May 10th and they told me it was a smoking fee. I spoke with the manager. I believe her name was Carmen. She said there had been smoking inside the room. I tried to explain to her that nobody smoked in the room and she said yes they did you could smell it in the elevator. I tried to explain to her that my oldest son is severely asthmatic and we wouldn’t even do that to him. She said she didn’t care and tried to argue with me. I explained to her that I wasn’t trying to argue I just needed her to hear me out. She didn’t and she hung up on me. I’m really upset because no one smoked in the room and it’s not fair that she can just throw this smoking fee on my card and we didn’t smoke in the room. I have called corporate and filed a complaint with them and I will also dispute the charge with my bank. I need to also mention that the hotel had a very strong mildew smell so I’m not sure how anyone could smell anything outside of that. It still doesn’t change the fact that no one smoked inside of that room.

Overcharge scam! Overcharged for one night and hotel management refuses to issue credit despite repeated requests and a hotel receipt which notes payment received for two rooms, two nights. Hotel manually keyed in an extra one night charge. Avoid this hotel.
