Highly recommend A pleasant experience at the end of a rather long drive. Check in was easy and convenient. Room was good, and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was a good selection of items to start the day. Would stay here again if passing thru Canyon.

It was just okay…… The location in great if you’re visiting Palo Duro Canyon. The hotel is going through a remodel and the hot tub was not working. The hotel is dated with only one small elevator and the location makes it very hard to maneuver a cart. The breakfast was so so. Tried to get a yogurt and spoon a few minutes before the set hours and they were not happy. Compared with other Holiday Inns I was disappointed. There is new Hampton Inn next door that looked nice.

Unsatisfactory We have stayed in Holiday Inn Express several times and had excellent experiences. This was completely different. The toilet is too low for adults. Leaking sink in the small bathroom that appeared to have been leaking for some time with evidence of wall rot. Appeared that smoke alarms had been removed. Old hotel even though we were told by the staff that it had recently been remodeled. AC rattled and knocked. Would not stay there again.

Friendly staff Nice clean hotel practically on West TX A&M campus. The campus and athletic fields are less than 5-min away. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good - scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits gravy, pancakes & usual breads. They are remodeling but did a good job keeping remodeling areas neat for guests.

Decent hotel under remodeling, but with terrible breakfast Stayed here for one night and in many ways it was your typical HI-Express, but it really fell short on breakfast. The hotel is in the process of remodeling which is easily visible, but we had no big issues with it. The hallways on our floor was under construction when we stayed there, but the room seemed newly remodeled. Location is also ok in Canyon (which was a surprisingly nice city). Where it all went wrong though was the breakfast. One thing is that the selection was on the limited side, but every warm item was cooked to death. Though it's not a culinaric delight to begin with, I've never encountered a situation where a turkey sausage have become unedible. It seemed like it was left in a micro wave oven or similar over night. I also tried other items, and for instance the cinnamon rolls where so damped/overheated that it even had lost taste. If it had been one item it might have been a coincidence, but I also saw the same items being left over at other's plates, and when it was all the hot food I tasted, it's lack of competence or routines (or probably both).
