Surprisingly clean & decent motel, 1 pet stays free It is a motel, for under $100 per night, off a highway in a small drive thru town with one attraction. Here is what to expect: the outside of the place is not as nice as the inside due to age, the staff is polite, the room has been rehabbed, room is clean, linens are clean, bed is comfortable, plumbing & HVAC works, it does not smell bad and 1 pet stays free. Yes, it can be noisy due to the proximity to the highway and the amount of traffic in and out of the motel, but that is how all motels are unless they are in a rural area. There is only fast food & Cracker Barrel nearby, there is no free breakfast or fancy views. It's a clean older roadside motel that has renovated the rooms, it is not fancy but it has what you need to sleep in a clean/comfortable room for the night as you pass through the town. Basic budget hotel Very basic hotel, close to the highways. You get what you pay for, although I think this hotel is a bit pricey. Rooms as basic but very clean with little to no facilities. Close to KFC and Wendy’s. Staff were attentive and very welcoming. If you just need somewhere to rest, this place is good

Basic, clean place to sleep. Nothing more or less. Everything was average. Nothing terrible or spectacular. We opted for this place (much cheaper) than others in the next town that offered more for our visit to Mammoth cave. It is a place to sleep and get cleaned up. It was clean too, but don’t expect much more. Wish there were more signs of being eco-friendly.

What it is suppose to be! A number of years ago Motel 6 and Red Roof were owned by the same corporation. (Red Roof was initially privately and solely owned). The merger did a fine job of destroying both franchises. Every corner was cut even corners you didn't know could be cut. Not enough light, reduced water pressure, dirty rooms, non-flat bath tubs to discourage using more water, very bad paint work the list goes on. I am writing this because at least at THIS location none of that is true. Clean room with actually more than enough light, truly more water pressure than you need. The paint work is impeccable, and the desk person truly makes an effort to make you feel welcome. Nice variety of eateries, a couple of gas stations - nice interchange. A very very welcome change from the usual. Enjoy your stay!

Not pet or people friendly We booked because they were pet friendly but they would not take our 2 small dogs both under 10 lbs. The desk clerk was very rude and actually answered the phone and ignored us while we were confirming our reservation. He said their policy was only one pet. We booked online under hotel.com and chose the pet friendly option. We had driven 15 hrs and stayed at a Red Roof Inn on the way without any issues. Thankfully Econo Lodge booked us and their staff was excellent.
