Would not recommend staying here Very overpriced for a very run down hotel. Cheaper and better hotels locally. Breakfast was terrible so didn’t bother turning up to our dinner reservation. Went out to a restaurant instead. Issues with the cleanliness of the whole hotel.

Spa break The room, although clean and comfortable, requires some refurbishment to bring it up to date. Staff in the restaurant were not always attentive. Waited over 20 minutes to settle the bill, and only when walking out did someone then chase us. Appears more focused on overnight business trade rather than a relaxing spa experience.

A health hazard! Where to begin! I stayed at this spa hotel last weekend for as part of a much needed girls spa break but unfortunately there were issues with every aspect of my stay- too many to mention so I’ll just describe the main ones. The spa looked neglected, some of the staff were very rude and thus set the tone. The room where I had my treatments was dirty with stains on the walls. The heating was broken and I was cold especially when I had a damp towel on me during the massage. Whilst my other friends were given cards with treatment recommendations on and a voucher I was given nothing. We ordered lunch and I waited over 30 minutes for my drink. 40 minutes later I still hadn’t received any food so I had to make do with a packet of crisps before my treatment. The bedroom itself was a health hazard! Upon opening the door the smell of damp was unbelievable! The room was filthy with hair in the sink and bath, stains on the walls and carpet and a chair that was ripped and covered in stains. What was more concerning though was the black mold. The photos don’t show the extent of it. When we tried to take a shower the plug hole was blocked then hair and waste started to come up. This knocked me sick. Despite raising these and many other issues on checkout, I am still waiting on management contacting me. Abbey was helpful and listened but it’s obvious she’s overworked. I tried to chase this up again yesterday and was promised a phone call from management but yet again I was let down. I hope senior management read this review.
