Ok The hotel is ok. The pool room had some damage. Many workers stay here and their nighttime drinking and marijuana smoking are overwhelming. The room was clean enough but not great. Near restaurants and stores if you need something.. You could do worse and there isn't much else in Clare.

Think twice. First thing we noticed when we walked in was an odd smell throughout the downstairs. Had a room right near the stairs. We found items on the floor in our room that should have been vacuumed or picked up. The tv would not allow us to change channels nor raise or lower the volume. We notified the front desk. They gave us a different remote to try and that didn't work, so we had to unplug it. We were never offered another room and were told to talk to the manager. Although they were willing to work with us, they only gave us a $19 refund on our bill, which was unacceptable seeing that the stay was close to $200 for the night. Breakfast was mediocre. Truly an unpleasant stay.

Horrible!!! Do not stay at the Clare Michigan location I have stayed at this location several times over the past couple years and the last 2 times I stayed at this location I was accused of stealing one of their pillows after we checked out . I called the hotel directly and spoke with Fran who basically said that this is not up for debate and the charges stand . I called Choice Hotels customer service who suggested I call the hotel directly which I informed them I already had and they told me they don’t have the authority to reverse any charges but will share the information that I am unsatisfied with the hotel and their higher ups. I am not a thief and have no use for their pillows. If you stay at this location make sure to check your credit card or bank statement after you check out for a couple days

Nasty ! I travel a lot and this hotel was bad!! The rooms were dated and in need of updates, the pool and hot tub was FILTHY! They have many road crew workers who stay there and they do not make them wash before getting into the pool thus SCUM floating in pool and hot tub! It was so bad we never went in either!! Avi Our this hotel as best you can!

Poor staff The stuff was unbelievably rude. Unwilling to work with me and compromise with me. They were rude even though I was extremely nice to them. I will not be returning and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. They could have done better
