Great Stay at the Hampton Inn-Clemson University Area Our family recently stayed in four rooms at the Hampton Inn-Clemson University area for my son’s graduation. The service was great, staff were friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. There were many positive comments from our family members.

Outdated We chose this hotel because we have stayed at hundreds of Hampton Inn’s over the years. This one was seriously outdated. There were stains on carpet, the TV didn’t work and not all the lights in our room worked. The woman at the front was so sweet and friendly when we checked in. There also was a university sport team there so no room for breakfast. Standing room only every morning. It was a very disappointing stay.

Never again - great location though I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels. Hilton properties have traditionally been reliable and consistent as far as quality. Loved the check in/out and digital key via the app. This set my expectations pretty high for room quality. The room has not been updated in a long time (except the carpet). The pillows were so tiny and soft that my husband had to use his jeans to support his head. This is a college students hotel and it looks like it. The common areas were very clean and proximity to campus (and a Starbucks if that’s your thing) is unmatched.

Fantastic Stay We were looking for a Hilton property while in the Clemson area so we stopped by to see if they could accommodate us for one night. Our great stay started as we walked through the doors when we met Marnie at the front desk. She was busy helping a member on the phone but quickly helped us get a great room and price when she finished her phone call. Our room was super clean n very nice. The breakfast was very good also. Marnie even recommended a great restaurant, Pixie n Bills, where we got an awesome dinner. On our next trip to the area, we will definitely try to stay at this Hampton Inn. Thanks so much Marnie.

Friendly staff, clean room, great location! Friendly hotel staff, clean room, great location! I would recommend this hotel and location to friends and family. It's not far from the university and easy to get to. Loved the Clemson pride on display in the lobby too! #tigertown #Clemson
