Outstanding experience with exceptional staff The staff at the Detroit/Roseville hotel is exceptional! We have stayed at this location many times while visiting family. Even when our family encouraged us to stay downtown, we refused because the staff at the Detroit/Roseville are always extremely friendly and helpful. The team goes out of their way to make sure your stay is exceptional. We particularly like the beds which are firm but not too firm. This hotel often hosts family reunions, sports teams, and families coming for a vacation close to home. We have shared the hotel with all of them and the other guests are equally delightful. Children opening doors and holding elevators are just one example. Guests greet each other and are very friendly.

Great hotel in the N.E. Detroit area The beds are very comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are quiet. The breakfast buffet is very nice, it has scrambled eggs and sausage and waffles as well as both hot and cold cereals. The only reason that I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars is because the indoor pool was not warm.

Tired hotel with unprofessional staff As others have said, this hotel is very tired. First experience here was rude guest service late at night when we arrived, then super rickety elevators then a smelly room. I have stayed at many Hampton Inn's and this one was definitely not up to par. The tvs hardly work, which was started in other reviews, and most of the employees we encountered were either not friendly, or super reserved and quiet. No hellos in passing, and wearing everyday clothes. You couldn't tell who worked there as so many people wearing hoodies and random casual attire would be behind the desk. The pool is decent and breakfast is very standard. Room was a good size at least. As a Diamond member, it is tough to say that I will have to find a non Hilton branded hotel in this area as this is the only option in this direct area.

Terrible tv service. Doesn’t work and I think it didn’t work the last time I was here. Fine but this hotel has the worst tv service. I feel like lately I’m seeing it more and more. Could only watch one or two channels. Don’t try and change the channel-tv freezes up. Direct TV here is the worst. They should change providers. I will try a different place next time.

Tired Hotel & No ESPN Tired hotel that needs some updating. Good breakfast. Pleasant staff but sparsely staffed. The big disappointment is the TV. No ESPN? I’d expect a major network on a hotel’s network. But, no. So, don’t get takeout a settle into your room to watch a sporting event. I hear Tiafoe v Fritz was a great match.
