Super 8 by Wyndham Cloverdale Wine Country

VERY clean, convenient location. Convenient location removed from the freeway. Helpful staff, windows open for fresh air. Only 2 stories, but no elevator. VERY clean room & bathroom. We had a single King, so our room was comfortably spacious & the bathroom was larger than expected. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast, so no comment possible. The downside was that our room was above the office & was beyond noisy because McDonald's is across the driveway & its speaker is so loud you can hear EVERYTHING being blasted (greeting, order, price, instructions, idling motors, conversations) morning, noon, and night. Additionally, the Chevron station across the street has a large loose metal plate in its driveway that gives a LOUD clunk, clunk each time a vehicle uses the driveway. It was so loud we had to run the window AC 24/7 to drown out the outside disturbances- -the AC noise was at least tolerable. The next time we will ask for a room at the opposite end of the hotel (the Mtn. Mike's end) and we will ask that the room face the shopping center's parking lot - - not any street.

Worst mattress ever The mattress was so old that there were big dips where people have slept and you could feel the coils at the bottom. Had to sleep on it sideways.

OK basic motel We had a quick overnight here on our way up to Philo. The room was clean and a good size. We got an upstairs. It was quiet (we unplugged the fridge at night). It's a basic motel. Nothing fancy. The bed was comfortable for me, but my partner said she found it a little uncomfortable. It might have been because she got cold. We did not run the heater. The bed sheets were a bit thin, maybe we should have run the heater. We had our own blanket we added. The breakfast is unremarkable. We chose to eat somewhere else (Zini's which is not far away by car). If I were passing through again, I'd consider staying here again. But for the price, I'd probably try somewhere else. It was not particularly inexpensive.

Great bargain for the price Well managed, well kept facility with excellent service. Appreciated the attention to detail, the cleanliness, the kindness and efficiency of staff. Excellent location and lots of amenities both in the facility and within the property (stores, restaurants. )

Clean with a hearty breakfast The staff was welcoming and efficient. My room was clean and the breakfast had a lot of options. The staff is very knowledgable about travel and willing to share tips for this area and popular travel destinations.
