Pleasant stay This hotel was standard Holiday Inn Express, but we were very comfortable. All of the front desk folks were pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean, as were the gathering areas of the hotel. There is a small pool and an exercise room. There are walking/hiking paths close by. The free breakfast was adequate--standard fare. But the breakfast area was spotless! Location was good and very close to I-25. I'd gladly stay here again.

Warning - pick another hotel Pick a different Holiday Inn. I use my HIG points and huge mistake to book this hotel. 2nd day the electricity blew out in my room. Had to move to another room. 2nd room, after unpacking the air/heater was broke. Told I could move again or maintenance would fix it at 2pm. Didn't get fixed. Was told the guy works multiple properties and wouldn't come. Had my 6 year old grandson, had drove 14 hours and chose to stay in the room no air or heat. I had a lot of Easter gifts with me and tired. 2nd day at hotel I went to the front desk to attempt to resolve issues. Huge argument occurring between a guest, cleaning staff and hotel management. Guest stated the cleaning staff had been rude. Manager had lost control of the situation. Possibly should have spoke with the guest and separately talk to the employee. After about 5 minutes I left that area as it was embarrassing seeing the guest being yelled at. My MacBook Air was plugged into the wall when the electricity blew out. Now my battery shows it's damaged and needs to be taken for repair. Manager said she couldn't know when my battery was damaged and kinda "oh well!" The pool area was good and the bed was comfortable.

Would not recommend Pros: the location was close enough to Manitou Springs, which is where most of what we did was. The property was clean and the breakfast area had a beautiful view of Pikes Peak. The breakfast choices were good each morning. Plenty of protein and carbs. And the woman who maintained it each morning was amazing! Highly suggest tipping her if you agree! The pool area was nice and clean. Cons: the parking was horrendous! 95% of it was down a very steep decline in the back. It was a shared lot with another hotel so the spaces would fill up quickly towards the evening. You were lucky to find a spot. There was no place to park when we checked in so we had to trek our luggage up that steep hill and around to a door. The rooms were tiny! And we had a suite! The pullout couch mattress was so horribly bad. My husband took it off and put it on the floor each night along with some extra blankets for padding. The bathroom was tiny and the water pressure was also very bad. The shower hardly put out water to the point we had a hard time staying wet and rinsing out the shampoo from our hair. And the toilet hardly held water in it so flushing was interesting. Just FYI when you do more than pee. ;) It was kind of crazy. The only critique about breakfast is to add fruit other than apples and oranges. The apples were overripe and the oranges weren’t really eaten. Maybe some canned fruit? We would not stay here again. There were better choices now that we’ve stayed there.

Safe, clean, friendly, good value. We stayed here 2 nights. Facility is clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. Room was above average in quality and relatively modern/updated. We will stay here again. The free coffee is fine and the breakfast room offers many food options. Not complaining, but the pancakes were not so good (they never are in any facility like this). On the other hand, they are made fresh on an automatic pancake making machine. Maybe give the machine a 2nd chance!

Cute HI express Nice staff, friendly, and welcome. The problem was the bed mattress was old and lumpy and uncomfortable. The rotunda and balcony had a nice view near the mountains. Nice breakfast provided and maids were nice and accommodating
