Broken elevators and dirty room Worst stay ever! Room was not clean upon arrival. There was chocolate and trash all on the floor as if housekeeping didn’t even attempt to sweep. Someone else’s food was still in the refrigerator. Was told hotel was sold out so nothing could be done. Terrible experience. Staff was professional but couldn’t do much since we arrived after 8pm. Both elevators are also out of order, so everyone is taking the stairs. I would not recommend and will not stay at this location again.

jackhammer frigid broken air conditioner fiasco This hotel should be avoided unless you have no choice. I thought that sleeping in the rental car would have been better. I was given a broken room with a dysfunctional air conditioner that sounded like a jack hammer. They were not able to switch the room because they said they had no availability. The made the lamest effort to find another hotel room. The room was not functional so the best solution was to call a maintenance man who did major installation of a new heating unit taking an incredibly long time making it impossible to rest or sleep or relax. Basically no apology. Problems can happen but the staff at the hotel dont seem to know their industry. Really try to avoid this place.

Lousy service, lousy attitude. Stay elsewhere! I was part of a Vietnam Veterans reunion group of 80 people. Having used DoubleTree hotels elsewhere and had a pleasant experience each time, I was looking forward to this visit. I booked way in advance to get a guaranteed roll-in shower room, as I use a walker 24/7. Sadly, things started going down hill quickly. Upon arrival I was told that my guaranteed room was not available because occupant extended his/her stay. As far as reception staff was concerned that was the end of the discussion. It took several requests for a manager, before a lady who identified herself as Operations Manager had a long discussion with my sister (who brought me to Columbus but did not stay) before they asked the occupant in "the other" roll in shower room to move (I am grateful to that person!). Upon arrival in the room I discovered the "roll in shower" was 4 inches higher than the bathroom floor and was entered by a steep tile ramp that no wheelchair-bound person could manage; the tile was as slick as an ice rink when wet and could have easily caused a terrible fall. It did not get better -- there was no telephone in the room! It took two days before maintenance brought and installed one. Several others in our veterans group said their reservation was "lost'' (we had a large group room block). Service in restaurant slow. General attitude of entire hotel was ho hum, no sense of welcome or service attitude.

So so hotel This is what I call a group hotel. lots of groups stay here. I was here for my Vietnam reunion. The hotel is so so, rooms are ok. beds are good but it just doesn't have the feel of a nice place. My biggest gripe is they charged for breakfast, the buffet was second rate at best. Go to a Comfort in or the like and breakfast is free. The staff was friendly. There was no soap in the shower dispenser, I asked them to come fill it and they said their order of soap hadn.t come in and there was no soap in the whole hotel. Luckily there was bar soap at the lavatory so I used that. Certainly would stay somewhere else if I wasn't committed to my group.

Very dissatisfied I was very disappointed in doubletree because I was told I’d be getting the military rate in which was one $107 a night for our group so i booked and came i could have stayed anywhere else for cheaper but our military group had a special rate there and we would all be together. The hotel stay was nice but the showers could have been cleaner and there was some things broken in there as well but i did not complain as i was comfortable other than that with the room. It was after checking out getting my receipt i seen that i had a different rate which was $169 per night instead of $107 I tried to speak with the hotel and was told there was nothing they could do as the price nightly had been raised and adjusted and they had stopped that rate but i had my room already i just hadn’t checked in until later. How is that right to charge me a different price after check out I’m very disappointed. I went from paying $107 to $211 once checked out of the doubletree
