Great Place The room was easy to check into, and easy to check out of. All of the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was great. The location was convenient, and close to a couple of bars and restaurants. We will stay here again when we come back.

Horrible hotel This place is a dump. My husband and I went there when Hurricane Beryl came through Houston and knocked out our power. The receptionist at this tiny desk was rude beyond belief. They said that I booked through a 3rd party, which I did not, and while checking on that the receptionist waited on someone else instead of completing the transaction with me. They price gouged everyone by bumping their rates from $77/night to $163/night. (I will be reporting that to the Atty Gen's office and to Click2news in Houston). We paid more because they also charge $25/night for pets. The carpet felt like slime. There was no "continental" breakfast. The maid didn't come offer fresh towels or to straighten the room. We had paid for two nights but left the second day. It was a horrible experience. One bright spot is that the beds were very comfortable. But hard to sleep due to the AC clanging all night. It's an under the window unit that controls the room temp. That's where the "upside" of the place ends. I will never go back there. Next time I'll stay at home with no power rather than go back there. I've stayed in a lot of hotels in my lifetime but nothing as bad as this place. They might also note this: "During a declared state of emergency, the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act makes it illegal for a business or individual to sell or lease fuel, food, medicine, lodging, building materials, construction tools, or other necessities at an exorbitant or excessive price."

You Will Be Disappointed The first problem with this Columbus location was the room. The noise from the air conditioning unit was loud enough to drown out the television. There was a huge hole in the window (photo attached). The tiles on the bathroom floor were loose. The wall was severely damaged (photo attached) by the bathtub. The light, outlets and USB did not work next to the bed. The brown carpet was not clean (walked in white socks on it and they were stained FROM THE CARPET). The bathroom door latch did not work properly. There was a smell of old smoke in the hallway. The second problem was an unauthorized charge on my card. I sent a message to the hotel letting them know I was traveling with my dog (chosen this place because it was "pet friendly." My dog was with me when I checked in. The desk clerk at this time told me I needed to put down a $100 pet deposit (refunded in about 4 days after check out) which is totally fine and expected. However, she never stated that there was an extra fee to have a pet with me. Days after checking out I saw this $25 fee on my card. After calling and finding out what it was for, I asked that it be waived because I was not told it existed and had not authorized the additional charge. The man attempted to blame Expedia for this, then told me that the woman had been fired (the desk clerk) because she hadn’t told me, then asked me to call back in an hour. In the end, there was no help given with this and I feel after the disappointing accommodations, it was just another reason to take the time and give this location the review it deserves.

Guest no more The worst ever. I would not ever recommend this place. overpriced, unclean, mildew on the floor, low shower pressure, dirty, coffee maker, no room service. The breakfast was garbage at best. The coffee taste like brown water.
