Do not stay here The only good thing I can say about his hotel is the location because it's close to everything. It was filthy, i've never stayed in a hotel that was this dirty. I know you get what you pay for but I would rather sleep in my car then stay here again. When we were leaving the elevator door opened and there was a cockroach on the floor. I don't believe the reviews saying they like the hotel for it's cleanliness because they've obviously never stayed there. Pay the extra money and stay somewhere else.

Nasty roach hotel This place is disgusting and needs to be shut down. There was bugs crawling all over the walls and beds. I checked right back out with only getting a refund for 2 days and not the 3 I paid. Do not do not and I repeat do not go here. Pay a little extra and stay some where else. I would have been more happier sleeping in my car.

A zero rating is too high! The hotel was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed! It was run down and filthy! There was a big hole in the ceiling in the hallway and debris all over the floor the entire time we were there and it stunk like mold! Our room was gross-missing shelves in kitchen, dirty dented fridge with no shelves, wooden stand over heater falling off, bathroom floor with separated tiles, mold along tub! Our room was in the back and we felt very unsafe because there were always people hanging out by the back of the building near our window! The last straw was a bug crawling around the heater!

Avoid to save your health Our visit to Hometown Suites was an experience, and not a pleasant one. First, I will start with the good things about this hotel. It was inexpensive, close to where we needed to be and the front desk staff was very pleasant. Now onto the rest of our experience. It started with an empty police car partially blocking the entrance into the hotel (this is relevant later), about a dozen people were loitering around the parking lot and when checking in for our reservation at 3:30pm we were told they had no clue if there were any clean rooms but please return in an hour. After a 9 hour drive from Florida, we wanted to relax but we wanted around the mall and returned later. The hotel was obviously outdated and in disrepair with a moldy musk odor throughout. Upon entering our room, you can smell the odor even more so with signs of mold on bathroom walls, cigarette burns in the linens and 3 live roaches running around their kitchenette area. Immediately requested a different room and hoped they would ensure better standards. Our new room actually had dead roaches still on the wall where someone else smashed them, hair on walls of the shower, the floors were sticky to the point of our socks were brown (I was not going to be barefoot at this location, more cigarette burns on sheets, strange liquid that was dried on all the walls, more live roaches, bathroom door handle broken, AC barely was cool and the fridge was unplugged. We actually killed so many roaches we should have been paid as an exterminator. Exhausted and lack of any other hotel rooms available (we checked and all booked elsewhere) we started the night. About 1:30am the fire alarm was triggered and we all evacuated. The firetruck was unable to get to the hotel due to that empty police car which helped make it a longer night. We left a day early, not wanting to risk any health issues but no manager is at this location to discuss the issues. And provide a refund for the 1 day we did not stay. We called corporate, the GM, even emailed. All we received was thank you for the information provided and how to see us again in the future. This is a warning for all to consider this location. The price and convenience of the location is not worth the further issues you will encounter here, find someplace else please

more like low-income housing than hotel... - we booked this hotel as it is super close the concord motor speedway and we knew it had a kitchen as we had stayed at this location years ago when it was known as the suburban lodge. we were looking forward to saving money by making our own breakfast/lunch each day before heading out to the racetrack/various race shops in the area. the first night we checked in we were so disappointed to find they do not stock the kitchen with anything to cook/eat with anymore. - this location does offer a full-size fridge/freezer which was good for the microwave meals we had to buy. - our room had a king-sized bed which was fairly comfortable but for the large springs which could be felt with the slightest movement. - the condition of the room was very dirty. splatter of whatever someone had cooked on the backsplash; dust buildup on the door frames; the paint seemed like at one time it was a smoking room; microwave interior dirty; floor didn't look as if it had been cleaned either. oh, and there were no hangers in the closet! - the bathtub drain, did not drain immediately, so showering was more like having a bath. - we were in a non-smoking room, however the people in the room next to ours smoked and the smoke came into our room through the bathroom exhaust fan (which also did not work) we kept the bathroom door closed so as to reduce breathing in the secondhand smoke. our belongings, however, all smelled of smoke and as non-smokers, this was disgusting. when we mentioned this to the main desk staff, they told us that they "tell people not to smoke, but....." - the noise from the surrounding rooms was also interrupting. - people in the parking lot seemed to be hanging around their vehicles 'tail gating' listening to loud music for hours. - finally, on the second morning when getting into our car, there was a note on our windshield stating that we were not to back our car into the parking space and that if we continued to, our car would be towed! we were never informed of this strange rule when we were checking in. - unfortunately, we won't be staying at this hotel again.
