one-night stay I stayed at the Hampton Inn since I had an appointment in Covington at 8AM and didn't want to drive across the Causeway that early in the morning (I live on the Westbank of Jefferson Parish). The hotel was good for a one-night stay and the employees were extremely nice.

It’s a Hampton Nothing exceptional pro or con. It’s a fairly new Hampton, good parking for cars, with easy access to I-12. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Not much parking for towed trailers. Breakfast area is small, but the staff kept it tidy, so it wasn’t difficult to navigate. It’s a good location to stop for us.

Pervasive mildew, mold, or water damage. The moment I walked in the lobby, I smelled mildew. I wanted to dismiss it, but after being checked into four different rooms, they all smell of mildew. Pressing the front desk about the issue they said I was the first person to complain about it. Today. Asking another staff, I learned that it is an issue that happens every summer. Apparently it’s so moist inside that the wallpaper is peeling off. Then they tried to blame it on being in South Louisiana. Having lived in this town for five years and having stayed at other hotels in this area, I called their hand. Their only resolution was to tell me I could check into another hotel. Sadly, I did not have time to change hotels because I had a dinner reservation. My one night in Mandeville sucked this year. Thanks Hilton.

MOLD....STAY AWAY!! We got to the hotel and checked in for one night. As soon as we got out of the elevator we noticed the strong musty, moldy smell. As we walked down the hallway towards our room, we noticed all the wallpaper warping and bubbling because of the humidity. The room had the same smell and damp feel. The carpet, towels, bedding....everything was damp. There was condensation on everything and as I'm typing this, I can't quit sneezing and coughing. Health Department needs to visit. Hampton Inn is usually a go to. Not this one!! Trust the other numerous reviews mentioning MOLD. They are legit.

Health Department Needs To Check For Mold My parents booked a room for me and my boyfriend to stay for the weekend using their points, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Our room had a distinct smell of mold like when you stay at a hotel at the beach. I could tell that they had tried to cover the smell with room spray, but it did not work. If we had been paying for this room, I would have asked for my money back.
