Great Hostel I stayed here for 2 nights in October, 2017 and had a wonderful visit. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed in a woman's dorm (#207) and it was very clean and comfortable. The community area and kitchen was warm and friendly. The entire Hostel is very clean and well organized. Good security. The bathrooms were clean and great hot water. I'll be staying here again!

Good hostel The beds are uncomfortable, but the bathroom and general area is good. Nice kitchen. Staff very helpful. The location is exellent. I would recommend the women's bunk room. Great price. Would visit again.

Great location and Dog friendly We hiked from Aspen with a dog so were looking for walkability to town (10 minutes) and dog friendly. The hostel fit the bill without breaking the bank. We had a private queen room across from the bathroom; the room was spacious and clean. The hostel itself is in need of some updating and attention. The common areas felt just a bit dirty and dated. The bathrooms were short on toilet paper, soap and paper towel. The place was short on staff as well...upon our arrival the fella running the front desk was also cleaning the rooms, etc. It's too much for 1 person. Maybe someone called in sick but this guy needed help in order to meet the needs of the guests and the lodge. We actually stayed here 20ish years ago when they first opened! To my eye this hostel is showing its age. Hostels around the world are upping their game but not so here. We would stay here again if we bring the dog otherwise I'm not so sure.

Great Hostel - Reasonably Priced in Crested Butte My wife and I stayed here for one night in March and were really happy with our stay considering the price we paid and the awesome location with close proximity to Elk Street (the main drag in Crested Butte). The woman at the front desk was very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. We were upgraded to a private room with bathroom (probably a low occupancy time) which was really nice. The walls are thin though, so we could hear other guests talking in the common areas which kept us awake for a bit - so I'd recommend bringing ear plugs for the night. Otherwise, a great stay within walking distance of the town, and a short shuttle ride away from the mountain. I'd recommend it if you're looking for an economical option in Crested Butte.

Hostel was out of paper towels and toilet paper, room was nasty. I stayed at the hostel for a week, first day when i went upstairs to make my self comfortable i found the dorm really really nasty and stinky,a lot of trash on the carpet and 3 beds were used, you can tell by the smell it was a while when this unit was clean,i came downstairs and let the front desk person about it,she took a look and told me she was just to vacuum the carpet, nothing else,so she let me in the dorm a whole night with dirty beds, not even took the trash from the trash can,i did it my self. the bathrooms are so nasty, the shower curtains are so so dirty, you can see mold and yellow spots on them,no paper towels in the dispenser and no toilet paper in some of the toilets, never stay in a hostel before,it was an emergency and was the only place with available rooms, I will never stay there. In a week they never ask me if i needed clean sheets or if they can come and do a little clean, nothing. Clean? No way. really disappointing experience.
