OK for the budget Pretty simple basic motel. Not a holiday Inn or Hilton. Room walls definitely need to be cleaned. Shower appliances are out dated need to be upgraded. Nuthin around the hotel hopefully you have a car. Front desk staff very pleasant. Over a clean hotel no breakfast.

Tropicana in Dallas This place has gone downhill. The staff is friendly and quick and easy checkin. It needs updating bad. The rooms are spacious, but need a good cleaning. Housekeeping is horrible. I’m not sure if they ever mop the floors, clean the mirrors, clean the microwave or fridge. It used to be nice and quiet, now it’s noisy and getting sketchy.

Needs a good cleaning. Small budget hotel in NW area of Dallas. Checkin was quick and the rooms are a nice size. Wifi rarely works tho. Also the rooms need a good cleaning top to bottom, walls are dirty, housekeeping is not very good. You can write your name in the dust on the furniture and the floors don’t seem like they get mopped very often. But the staff is friendly.

They Left Me Stranded on Easter! Booked a non-refundable reservation on Easter eve at this establishment because I had an early morning flight out of Dallas Love Field airport. Got to the hotel just after 11:30pm, after driving for almost 4 hours that day to visit family. Gave the night desk person my name, and he proceeds to tell me that they canceled my reservation and sold my room to someone else. I asked him how that was possible, when I booked through Expedia and that my reservation was guaranteed? Then he just "shooed" me away, like I didn't matter to him... on Easter eve, just before midnight. I called Expedia to try and fix this, since I was 1,500 miles away from home w/o a room now, and when they tried to call the hotel to speak to him... he just let the phone ring. This place isn't worth the risk of being stranded. And by the looks of it, I'm not the only person that they've done this to. I've stayed here once before in the past, and I can tell you from experience, any reviewer that gives them 5 stars is lying. Maybe 3 or 4 stars if they actually don't sell your room out from under you... but nobody rates a "rock 'em sock 'em" 5 stars!

Good for what it is It met my needs as someone who just needed a place it stay when my flight was canceled. It was clean the bed was comfortable and the room was large. That being said, it's not in a location that I would have chosen if I intended to stay in Dallas on purpose. About halfway from DFW to downtown Dallas on a side road with nothing in walking distance. The lobby had an odd smell. The furniture was in decent condition but obviously old and well used. Close enough for a quick drive to restaurants . I would stay again if I needed to , but would look elsewhere if your looking for a fun vacation experience.
