My favorite hotel half-way between Houston and Orlando This is our go-to hotel when frisking from Houston to Tampa/Orlando. It is exactly half-way (or pretty close to it) and the balcony rooms with water views are my favorites. The breakfast that is included in the room rate is good - husband likes waffles and I like boiled eggs, oatmeal, yogurt and bananas. Great bird watcher location right on Mobile Bay.

Carpet Shampoo Please The carpet was filthy . My wife took off her socks and they were filthy even bare feet were dirty. You need to shampoo it throughly and get a fresh smell in the room . I normally stay at Marriott properties and have never in 40 years of traveling .. Value in cost of room was not worth the $ . $220 was worth $75 and that is being more than fair

Great Location. Very good location. Near shopping and dining. Stayed twice at this location. Traveling to FM, AL. Small pool but seating and no towels. BF Buffet is great. Very clean. Parking in front and behind the building. Packed with Nerd family traveling. Cool to see who travels America.

Wrongfully charged my account/very disappointed At first things seemed ok, staff was friendly (so we thought), room was clean but had an odd smell, balcony furniture was dirty and broken as well as the door to the balcony was also broken. Here's the kicker..less than an hour before we checked out a $50 and $60 separate charge were made to my account. I called to see why, and was told that we were "smoking cigarettes" in the room?? False. We don't even smoke cigarettes. It's very upsetting considering we already paid almost $150 for one night, made sure our room was tidy, even went as far as to leave the housekeeper a tip. I left a message with the manager and was never called back. So beware for false charges made to your account. Definitely won't be staying again.

Great View and Overall Experience Very nice view and accommodations. Breakfast was excellent with a nice mix of waffles, eggs, and lots of variety. No complaints. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Parking was a problem at times; very tight without having to go farther.
