Executive rooms are superb The room I was in (248) was superb, the rest of the hotel is nice and the value for money of breakfast was excellent

Fantastic Hotel - Always Welcoming I have been staying here since November 2023 due to work on and off and for long periods (3-4 months), it seems like my second home. A very quiet location in beautiful surroundings. Staff are so welcoming and friendly, always smiling. They go above and beyond if you need something. Rooms are clean & tidy, always get a good nights sleep, beds are so comfortable. Bar/Restaurant meals are of good variety. Breakfast (buffet or cooked to order) is excellent. As a guest you get to use the spa facilities (sauna, jacuzzi, outdoor hot-tub) as well as swimming pool and new gym. All in all this is by far my favourite Hotel in Darlington.

Understaffed Booked this hotel as a surprise for my wife for our wedding anniversary, can't fault the hotels grandeur and location. Booked for an evening meal food was fantastic but had to wait for 45 minutes for it to arrive. We were just about to get up to leave when it was served. After retiring to bed all was good until we were woken up at 11.30pm by a group of rowdy men. Phoned reception and they made no attempt to resolve the situation. Finally we were moved to the coach house in the rain about midnight. For the price we paid I would have expected better, we will definitely not be returning.

November Wedding Ideally located and in beautiful grounds. Attended a family member's wedding. My room was a bit "travel lodge" compared to others which i can only presume was due to their's having been upgraded but my room was clean and well presented and i also have a lovely view on the gardens/fields (room 127) The main wedding room was set out perfectly and the main reception room was also well laid out. The food served throughout the day was served hot and was well presented. Buffet food was also well presented and a good choice to choose from. Hotel it's self was decorated for Christmas and the seating area and staircase looked really good. Plenty of choice for breakfast and the main restaurant is modern and clean and plenty of places to sit. Didn't have time to test out the spa but would definitely recommend and one day go back.
