Easy stay-average accommodations The check in was easy and we arrived late. The hotel was quiet and the beds were comfortable. The furnishings were average and it was clean. The breakfast was minimal. There wasn’t an additional protein option besides egg patties. It had a higher rating than I would have given it.

Reception staff need training The actual hotel was basic and acceptable at a reasonable price. However when we arrived late in the afternoon we were greeted by the grumpiest receptionist we have ever encountered. The lady did not smile once from the minute we walked in and the entire interaction. We felt like we were not welcome there as the female would not even look at us. It was not busy as we were the only people booking in. I should have taken her name to pass on but we were so stunned by the rude reception. She was not the manager who checked us out the next day. I would not come back to this hotel to avoid such an uncomfortable check in

Nasty! Nasty! The room was dirty, smelled like cigarettes, was dingy and totally unappealing. We will never stay in another Choice Hotel again! Please take this as a true review. This place should be avoided for all intents and purposes. Truth!!!

Would stay here again On our road trips, we are mainly looking for a Clean and Comfortable Hotel with a good price. We stop to get some sleep and then keep going. The front desk was good, no complaints on the breakfast, and the price was right. I always write Yes or No on my receipt to indicate whether we would stay at the hotel again in passing through that town. As you can tell, I wrote Yes.

Most unpleasant experience! I normally never leave a negative review, but I find I must now! I stayed at the Sleep-inn Davenport, IA, 4/26-28/2024. From the antiquated check-in process to check-out my stay was not good! While I was checking in someone was returning a toilet plunger to the front desk. I thought, okay that happens but it should have been a clue to my stay. If I could have found another hotel room, I would have checked-out immediately. I don't know if they were trying to cover an odor in my room or not, but from the time I opened my door I was met with a horrible smell. I turned on the PTAC unit to help with the odor and it smelled like it hadn't been used in 6 years. My entire stay had a smell from the air conditioning unit and the room odor really didn't improve. Breakfast was a joke! From the broken coffee machine to coffee being made using a BUNN coffee pot, it was awful. I think coffee beans were re-used and the resulting coffee was burned. Mind you I ate at 7:15am and breakfast had opened only 15 minutes before I arrived. The organization at breakfast was horrible. Couldn't find the toaster until after I sat down. It really wasn't near the bread and was hidden by the microwave. The butter was in a refrigerator not near the bread. Milk was in gallon jugs, and you had to pour it. In fact, one gallon needed to be opened by a customer. After COVID, one would think you would have single serve milk. I've never seen milk served in this manner at a hotel. What really did me in was when the person who was servicing the area for the hotel reached into a trash can and pulled out USED napkins to wipe down the counter before spraying it with cleaner. I was glad my stay was for only 2 nights. Check-out was a bad as check-in. Then, when I got home and opened the trunk of my car, I was met with the unpleasant odor from the room. It permeated into my clothes and suitcases. I just hope I can get the smell out of my luggage. When I originally booked my stay at this hotel, I read the reviews and questioned some of them, but I shouldn't have. It was horrible and I have traveled extensively, and this was the absolute worst. Maybe it was just this hotel, but I definitely won't be looking to stay at a Sleep-Inn again.
