A Bargain Diamond I found this hotel online, and while it's clear from the pictures that it's not brand new, don't let that deter you. For the price, this hotel is unbeatable. The staff was incredibly polite and accommodating, even allowing us to check in early. Our oceanfront king bed room was spacious for a couple and would be comfortable enough to share with a child. The view was fantastic—you can see and hear the waves, which will lull you to sleep if you leave the door open. The location was ideal, with plenty of local seaside restaurants nearby and a grocery store just 2 miles away. We'll definitely be adding this hotel to our list of places to stay when we visit Daytona Beach.

Down hill fast. We have stayed here about a dozen times. Two of those times being in August and July. Unfortunately we saw it go downhill really quick. This day one of our rooms was infested with German roaches. Those are impossible to get rid of. The other room that we had this stay was extremely dirty. Like it was rushed to be cleaned, hair all over, filthy floor even the hallway was trashed for 2 of our 3 day stay. The resent change in management is obvious. When asked to speak with a manager I was told they may come in and to check back. Forget about the old offers of late check out. They want everyone including maintenance and cleaning out by 3pm. Hence why the rooms are now absolutely disgusting. Pushing your staff to clean fast to save payroll is showing. Also feel like some of the staff was smoking in the closet next to our room. They make you sign that you won't smoke on property maybe the staff should have the same rules.

Bugs bugs bugs For an old building it was surprisingly clean until the roaches got comfortable. They started to show themselves and that was it. I never packed so fast in my life. There were more than a few. The staff was friendly, the location was accessible and the amenities were a plus.

There are so many life lessons that can be learned from a stay here… This place is grossly misrepresented online. I arrived at night with my child. There was a pungent smell upon walking in the lobby. The elevator was sketchy, it stopped working during our two day stay and someone got trapped in it. The first room they tried to put us in was on floor 3, as soon as we got off the elevator I could smell weed. Opened the room door, and it WREAKED of cigarette smoke. The popcorn ceilings from the 90’s were flaking off. There were several patches where they had tried to repair it, evident of some sort of water damage. There was still toilet paper in the toilet where someone had not flushed. I asked for a cleaner more accommodating room. I was sent to the 7th floor. The ceiling was definitely better. There was a giant water stain on the ceiling where they had again tried to cover it up. But the hallway didn’t wreak like refer and the room didn’t smell like smoke. So we remained. Out of the two double beds in the room, one had a pillow topper, the other did not…it was like sleeping on a wooden table top. There was a giant patch on the wall where something curious happened, and they tried repairing with thick spackle and hiding behind a floor lamp. The original paint in the bathroom was blue…go ahead asks me how I know. You guessed it, giant patches had flaked off and not been repainted. I’m sure it was lead free. The tub didn’t drain. A solid 3” of water from my shower remained in the tub until the morning when it finally trickled itself down. There were dents on the door like someone had beat it with a hammer. I give it a star for the spectacular ocean view, and the family owned and operated cafe downstairs…(they were lovely - good food for decent price) Stay here if you want free second hand refer smoke. I’m 99% positive the staff was smoking in the janitor closet on floors 3,7, and 8.

Very loud construction, unsafe to be at pool, extreme noise inside room Average hotel, not the best maid service- hairs in tub at checkin. There is extremely loud construction directly in front of pool, and it is vibrating the floors and pool when pounding the structure. Very disappointed that hotel is not disclosing this on their website- I even called to confirm no work was being done - nothing was disclosed .
