Quality Inn

Average but still comfortable. Haven't been to Defiance for 30 years. Was looking forward to a decent breakfast to start my day. Ultimately, the only thing that I didn't like at the hotel was the breakfast. It was really a skimpy selection of items and there was no place to sit, except a couch. Why wouldn't the owner dedicate a room for breakfast?

Recommended Very clean room, quiet, excellent bed. The room was fresh without overuse of air fresheners/cover. Check in was seamless. Parking convenient. Slightly dated decor does not detract from the experience.

I would like to give a GREAT BIG TY to Betty (MN desk), Jennifer (daytime desk) and to Terry the Manager "Home away from Home" During the snowstorm (Feb 02 - Feb 05, 2022,) my brothers, sisters, other family members and myself all traveled from all over the USA to Defiance Ohio for a very painful funeral. The funeral was for our little sister "Jean" who was tragically killed in an auto accident, near the Ohio/ Indiana boarder, These AMAZING ladies not only worked their scheduled shifts at the hotel but also stayed in the hotel themselves, throughout the storm!! They did this so that no customer would have to be without the services they provide!!! (TALK aout essential workers!!) Each of them left family at home for 3 days- to care for us strangers!!! Many times, they went out of their way to ensure our comfort! some examples include - I am an early morning person (often awake at 4:30 am) and dear Betty from MN shift made sure the coffee was ready for me at that time EVERYDAY!!!! They allowed my family to gather in an unusual place to grieve our loss together. Many of us live in Texas, Eastern Ohio and Michigan) and had not seen each other in over a year (21 of us is way too many for a 1 hotel room meeting!) One of the employees even offered to keep my dog so that I could attend my sister's funeral (in my haste I had not planned ahead for THIs!!) words cannot express our gratitude enough!! This hotel and its staff treated us like family!! If ever I am in Defiance in the future, I will undoubtedly be staying at this home away from home again and would HIGHLY recommend it to others traveling in the area!!!

One Night Stay We were welcomed by a kind woman when we arrived. The room was clean & quiet, the bed was comfy with lots of pillows, and as a bonus, we had a two person, jetted tub. It wasn’t the type of hotel we are used to staying in, but it was perfect for these road weary travelers. Check in and check out we’re a breeze.

Too little for too much High price for outdated facilities. The continental breakfast was comparable to those found in motels for less than half the price of what I paid. Does not accept CLC discounts which I use for business. Room cleanliness was average.
