Quality Inn Montrose, CO I stayed at the Quality Inn in Montrose, Colorado. We were supposed to stay here for Western Colorado Swim Regionals. There was an issue at check in where the hotel didn’t have our reservation in the system but it was the supplier’s fault and not the hotel’s. The desk person was helpful and offered us a rate not much more than our ariginal reservation. We liked the following about this hotel: There were 132 channels including all the HBO channels, all the Nickelodeon stations, and PBS and PBS kids. I was medically restricted from swimming and using the hot tub but my mom liked the temperature of the pool and the hot tub. The shower had plenty of hot water and the beds were comfy. There was a fridge and microwave. We also enjoyed using the work out room that had an exercise bike, pedalo and treadmill. The location of the hotel is near restaurants, stores and the Montrose Rec Center. The only thing we didn’t care for was the breakfast. There wasn’t much variety or protein like sausage or bacon. I give this hotel 4 stars and would stay here again!

Unsatisfactory experience A very disappointing experience. The hotel shuttle to the airport left early . We were standing at the door as it pulled away. The hotel staff knew we were supposed to be on the shuttle. Even though the driver had not left the property , we were told his schedule was to tight to back up and pick us up. No apologies from the staff . We were left to find our on way to the airport. Also the elevator was hot working that morning which slowed us down greatly . The pool was freezing even though it was listed as heated. The spa was boarded up. The staff was rude. Avoid this hotel !! It's a disaster.

General Manager David Kang Won't Return Calls or Emails We purchased a stay and park package while on vacation. We parked our vehicle on the property the night before we flew. When we returned a week later we found the side window of our vehicle broken out. For 3 weeks I have been trying to get a response from General Manager David Kang via phone and email. All I want is the security camera footage. I will not stay at this property again unless David Kang improves his management of this property. Beware of this property. We have stayed here a few times and the security is very sketchy.

No Quality Found Here ***Dirty Hotel*** Flight got delayed and had to stay here. The shower had hair all over the patterned wall and the toilet failed to work. This is after I had to get a faulty key replaced to get in, and to find one of the beds was completely broken. The person who made the bed would have known yet chose to leave it as is. Blood (?) streak on the wall in the bathroom and the shower kept dripping after my shower, hitting the metal fixture and inside the tub with the most annoying sound. Carpet is sticky and you catch whiffs of methane-like smell. Maybe the airport chairs would have been a better choice.

Terrible customer service We booked this hotel a few hours before landing in Denver and once we landed were told we’d be held on the plane for an indeterminate amount of time due to weather. Our next flight was early in the morning and we knew we wouldn’t get to the hotel until anoyt 1am and needed to leave at around 4am so it wouldn’t be worth it to leave security in the airport and take a shuttle back and forth, we’d get no sleep, so for us it was more worth it to let our little kids sleep in a chair at the airport rather than drag them around Denver. We called the hotel to cancel our booking only a few hours after it was booked. (After looking on our booking and seeing that it was still in the process of booking and we had to cancel by phone) I called and they were very rude from the get go and told us because we booked third party (through my work) that we couldn’t cancel. I contacted my works booking and they called and tried to negotiate a cancellation without fees and the hotel refused. We called the hotel later for a shuttle (figuring we may as well use the room if we were to pay for it) and after getting there went to schedule the shuttle for 4am and their 24hr shuttle didn’t have availability at that time due to being full. The only other time that would get us out in time was at 3:15 (it was already 1:15) so we inquired again about cancelling and they told us it wasn’t them that wouldn’t cancel that they didn’t have a cancel button option and that they didn’t care if we canceled but the third party needed to do it. We called through my work (again) told them the situation and they said that they could cancel if the hotel gave them permission. The very rude girl told us she didn’t care if we canceled and I asked if we could get her approval to cancel and she just kept saying “I don’t care if you cancel or not, it’s their deal not mine” but she would never actually give approval, so while on hold with my work they tried to call in to the hotel, to which the hotel kept ignoring their call (I was right in front of them watching them) and the girl finally answered and told them they’d need to call back tomorrow for approval from the manager. The front desk lady kept telling us the third party was lying to us and that’s what they do. Meanwhile the third party had very good customer service and was doing everything they could to help our little family in the middle of the night (and obviously the hotel staff was doing everything they could to stonewall us while my kid was sleeping at their breakfast table). Given all of that, we could have accepted that we paid for the room and were out the money if they would have just said that their policy was no cancellation and we would have just done what we had to do but she sent us on an unnecessary run around (that she knew wasn’t going to get us anywhere) because she said we were able to cancel with our company that they were ok with us canceling (which was obviously not the case). Long story short the girl was so snotty we didn’t want anything to do with that hotel and will never book there again. We never signed the check in paperwork, got billed, went back to the airport and had a much more peaceful rest on the airport floor than that terrible hotel could have ever given us. Super disappointed that she was so rude and couldn’t just be upfront instead of passing the buck and blaming everyone else. We were decent and personable upon inquiry, and admittedly got frustrated with the way we were treated. When the shuttle returned she was quick to say “your shuttle is here, as if to kick us out” after charging us for our room. So we left. The only thing good about this place was the shuttle driver who immediately asked if everything was ok once we walked back out there with our poor exhausted kids, and was kind and helpful to us. We ended up venmoing him a tip for his excellent service which was the only light and kindness we saw from this place.
