Comfortable and convenient birthday stay! When I was searching for a hotel in Denver for my annual birthday trip, I knew I wanted to be downtown and by a pool. When I read the reviews about Sheraton Denver, I was concerned I'd also run into elevator issues. To my pleasant surprise, I never really experienced any delays while staying on the top floor. The King Bed room was a bit small for my liking, but it was clean and sufficient for one guest. The view from my window was amazing! A huge thank you to the Front Desk for accommodating me with this room for my birthday! I was always greeted at reception with a pleasant smile and attitude; they helped remedy a TV cable issue, housekeeping request, and microwave request quickly. The hotel is located within walking distance of the 16th Street Mall and a short driving distance of many attractions and restaurants, which is super convenient. The only complaint I have is the pool area did not look like the original photos in their listing; there are no red curtains in the cabanas, and the striped design of the beach chairs seemed old and outdated. I also didn't see any towels available for guests, and there were screaming kids everywhere (probably being a bit picky since I usually stay at adult-only resorts). I also wish that there was a DJ and food and drink served by the pool on weekdays. Gym was clean and had all the equipment needed for a workout. Lobby bar/restaurant had friendly bartenders and good food and drinks. Valet helped me with placing my heavy luggage in my Lyft on my last day. Overall, superb service and comfort. I will definitely be back!

Room: Not Great, Amenities: Nice We stayed at the Sheraton for a few days in early July. I downloaded the Bonvoy app and did the online check-in in advance, which allowed me to tell the hotel when we would be arriving. I estimated 8 am, but it ended up being around 9 am. Upon arrival, there was a long line that moved slowly. I started by sharing with a receptionist that we had had a very early flight and were really hoping a room would be ready. Unfortunately, they had been sold out the night before, and she said that no rooms were ready at that time. We were able to check our bags, but it was frustrating that no room became available until about 3 pm. We had planned a number of activities that day, and it was HOT; it would have been so nice to have had a room to go to as a home base. We could have used a rest. With that said, I understand that the official check-in time is 4 pm. I just couldn't believe that not one room became available prior to 3. I'd like to discuss the pros and cons of this hotel next. Pros: The lobby is beautiful and has lots of space and seating for lounging. The pool was awesome. My husband definitely felt that the fitness center was well above expectations. The location was right on the 16th Street Mall, and the free Mallride bus will pick you up right outside the hotel (it stops every block to and from Union Station). The black-out curtains in the room were great, and the A/C kept the room cold even though it was loud. Cons: Check-in time could have been improved. When we finally were able to check-in, I asked the receptionist if our room was not super close to the elevators or ice maker. He assured me that we weren't, but we were in the "pod" right next to them and could hear the elevator from time to time. We didn't feel that our room (standard king) was very nice. The bed was ok, but the pillows were not very full and the sheets/mattress pad moved around quite a bit for our liking. They got bunched up all the time, making it uncomfortable. The sliding door/full-length mirror was an interesting design choice, but for some reason, our mirror was filthy and had around 10 dirty "circles" and a dirty border all around it. It was if several items had previously been stuck to the mirror and taken off, but the residue remained and never got cleaned. I am attaching a photo that my husband took after his workout, so you'll have to excuse the sweat, haha, but you will get an idea of what I mean about the mirror if you take a look. The bathroom didn't have a fan, so it would get really steamy during/after showers. The provided hair dryer was awful; it seemed to be a really old model. We thought that, for toiletries, a bar of soap rather than shower gel was unfortunate. The toilet was EXTREMELY loud. There is no way we could flush the toilet at night without waking someone up. There was a random curtain rod (clearly broken) sitting on top of the A/C. I wondered why housekeeping would leave it sitting there. There was a cafe/hotel bar in the lobby. My husband had bad experiences both times he went. The first time was in the morning. He noticed they had Starbucks products, so he ordered his typical beverage. The barista responded with a sour face and said they didn't have that beverage or that size. The second time, we both went at night and were dying for Diet Coke. My husband ordered for us, and they didn't say anything, but once we had already paid and sipped our beverages, they had clearly given us Diet Pepsi. Anyone who is a Diet Coke fan will understand that struggle! I think it's dishonest to not be clear, especially at inflated prices. We would have just had water had we known it was Diet Pepsi. I hope this review is helpful to others looking to choose a hotel in downtown Denver. I probably would not do a repeat stay unless the rates were far lower. I expected more for the price and from a Marriott Bonvoy property.

A disappointing stay to say the least This place is decent on the outside, but once you get checked into your room, the negatives start to appear in droves. One of our two rooms had no air conditioning for 3 nights. They did send a person up to work on it multiple times to no avail. Then the breaker blew multiple times in our room and had to be reset. The straw that broke the camel's back was when the sliding door to the entrance to the bathroom fell off the rails and nearly hit my young daughter. Of course they sent someone up since the were worried about liability, but after they examined the hole in the wall, they offered free drinks as retribution. Finally, our flight was moved back nine hours. We called and asked for a few hour reprieve on our checkout. They were only able to grant us one hour on one of our two rooms. It was disappointing to say the least after staying here for 5 night. I won't be staying here again and likely not staying anywhere in the Sheraton/ Marriott family of hotels ever.

Great location, great hotel Great location located off 16th street where there are tons of restaurants in Downtown Denver. I parked valet which was $45 night. They have a parking garage too although I opted for valet after a long travel day. As soon as you walk in you notice a very nice lobby area with lots of seating. Check in took a little longer than usual with a few people in line, no Bonvoy line and especially since I mobile checked in with mobile key and didn’t get the key until after I checked it. I was given a room in the tower side so had to walk across the bridge to get to that side. The walk wasn’t far but may be for some people. Rooms were very nice and spacious. Bed was very comfortable and great lighting especially since I had to work. Only stayed one night but stay was comfortable. Very nice hotel, lots of options to eat within hotel and around hotel. They have a rooftop pool although didn’t have a chance to check it out.

Pleasantly surprised with hotel and location Having little experience with Sheraton hotels, we were very happy with the updated hotel and downtown location. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to 16th Street Mall and numerous meters which helped us avoid a $40 parking garage cost (meters are free 10pm - 8am and plentiful around the hotel). The hotel has two sides separated by a walkway. The gym was larger than normal and had an ample supply of all types of equipment. The pool was large with several lounge chairs, but it didn't look like the sun actually shone on the pool due to the high rises around it. Decent shower pressure, bed was very comfortable, and overall very clean. Would absolutely stay there again!
