Kind and Caring Staff! My husband and I were impressed with the friendly service and kindness of the staff, particularly the front desk and manager. During the night, my husband who is diabetic, needed a snack because his blood sugars were too low. The front desk staff person unhesitatingly gave us a piece of fruit from his personal lunch when I asked for something from the breakfast buffet area (it was closed for the night). This act of kindness was greatly appreciated because it prevented my husband from having problems with regulating his blood sugar. The entire facility was clean, smelled fresh and the breakfast was great. We felt safe and there is quick access to the interstate. We will definitely stay at this location again!

bleh Where to start... wobbly metal rear staircase makes you think you're about to tumble down them every time you take a step. The step down inside the room is ridiculous. They either need to get taller doors, so they reach the floor like normal hotels or extend the platform, so you have space to put your bags down and look instead of struggling to feel where it's at with your foot. Supposedly a nonsmoking hotel but cigarette burns in the blankets. Charges more than the room rate as a so called 'security' deposit, then taking days to return the money unless you paid in cash. Not as clean as it could be. Shower seriously needed a scrub. There are far cheaper hotels, with no needless deposits, no steps that nearly kill you and no odd drop offs into rooms. Oh and those hotels have continental breakfast, instead of expecting you'll go over to the nearby caseys for food. I've stayed at some really nice red roof inns in the past...this wasn't one of them.

Everything as described. Issue free stay. As always I base my rating vs. the price paid for the room. This was an economical motel but the grounds and room were both clean and presentable. Breakfast was also offered which isn’t always found in motels offering low priced rooms. There was also parking for my trailer which was a plus. Might have rated a 5 but the owner wasn’t the most friendly person. She may have been having a bad day? I would come back.

Weekend getaway This is a great hotel if you have pets. There is no extra pet fee. The staff was very nice. It didn’t seem to be super updated but it served our purpose of having a pet friendly hotel with a pool for our kids. When we first got there my husband thought floors seemed dirty so I did wipe with a Clorox wipe and it was dirty but I just did a quick wipe down.

Terrific RedRoof with great breakfast Parking space AND hall doors to room. Clean, seems like recently refurbished. Quite fast wifi for a motel. The 2 queen room had plenty of room to walk past someone working at the desk unlike some 2 double bed rooms at other RedRoofs. The usual micro and fridge. Also ironing board, iron and luggage rack. Best snd largest TV we’ve encountered at a RedRoof. This experience was the total opposite from our horrendous experience at the Lansing, IL RedRoof. Here in Des Moines, they serve breakfast, have a coffee maker in the room and a guest laundry. The area is contiguous with a neighborhood so very nice for dog walking. There are gas stations and fast food places nearby, but you won’t need it for breakfast as the breakfast at the motel is terrific. Cold cereals, biscuits, eggs, sausage and waffles. Toast also, apple and oj. Coffee machine broken but there is coffee in the rooms.
