Hidden Gem I was very torn about whether to review this place or not seeing as it is a hidden gem that I would love to keep all to myself! Very affordable, extremely clean, staff is top notch! The breakfast is a continental breakfast - which means no cooked food for those who don't seem to understand that. It was perfectly adequate for me since they had anything I would normally choose for breakfast anyway. I had a banana and a yogurt. I could have had pre-baked waffles, toast, muffins, cereal or oatmeal also. If this isn't good enough, you're just too picky. The pool was clean and comfortable temperature. Depending on where you are going, it is about 10 minutes to drive down to the beach. I will definitely be staying here again.

Decent Pros: The mattresses were very comfortable and the a/c worked good. Quiet, clean hotel with no carpet. Breakfast was decent: waffles, toast, eggs, sausage, cereal, juice and coffee. Cons: Hotel had an unpleasant smell. The maid gave us new towels/washcloths but did not make the bed. Washer/dryer was broken (we needed it). Elevator was broken so it wasn't fun taking all of our luggage up the stairs.

Mattresses are so comfortable! The beds are very comfortable. We usually stay at Hilton properties, but went on a spur of the moment trip to the beach and it happened to be the weekend of Mardi Gras celebrations and parades. The hotels were packed. Booked this and expected cheap mattresses. I have a $5300 Aireloom mattress and I couldn't believe their mattresses felt almost as good. Other amenities were bare necessities, but it gets 4 stars for the mattresses. You will be very comfortable and have a good night's sleep.

Horrible The room (210) smells of mold and no possibility to open a window! It’s causing me to gag every time we enter the room. The pool is out of order and disgusting. We’re first responders from Florida, trying to help the people in Louisiana who got hit by hurricane Ida, but forced to stay in Diamondhead, since everything closer has been taken. They advertise with $66 per night, but we are being charged $105!!! This is nauseating, trying to benefit from the people crossing 4 states to help, knowing we have no choice. I regret paying upfront without refunds, I’d rather saved my money and slept in the damn truck.

Hurricane evacuation Evacuated to this hotel for hurricane Zeta 10/28/20. After learning we were facing unknown damage at our home, we decided to book another night We made our request first thing in the morning & was told ok. We left our belongings in the room expecting to come back that evening after a stressful day of assessing our damage and beginning major clean up. We received a call a few hours later telling us they were booked & had to get out. We drove back to the hotel an hour later expected a better explanation. The manager would not offer any explanation although there were availability online. The manager was very rude & actually walked off & closed the door to his office. Not a way to treat locals!!!!
