We feel safe here Great location. You can easily find several restaurants within walking distance. We stayed here during the pandemic and felt safe here. The hot breakfast is gone due to the pandemic, which is understandable. But the front desk was very helpful and provided us an assortment of solutions: yogurt, muffins, water and such.

Choose the Residence Inn instead AAA TRAVEL AGENT REVIEW: Let me start by saying that I am a low maintenance traveler, so I truly don't need much. In addition, I am a AAA agent, so I am paying attention to what members would notice. That being said, I stayed at this property for three nights before relocating to the Residence Inn next door. I traveled across the country and arrived around 10PM. When I got to my room, the door did not deadbolt. I spoke with the front desk and they advised that it could be due to the rain. I went back to my room to shower, and realized that the bathtub drain was clogged, so a pool of water gathered in the shower. After traveling all day, I just wanted to go to bed -- so I crawled into 1 of the double beds to discover that although the sheets were white, they smelled like poop. I got out of bed to smell closer, and the entire bed reeked of feces. I was so exhausted from travel that I just moved to the other bed to rectify in the morning. I turned on the tv and could not get the Netflix to load (I am a millennial, so I knew how, but the tv would not work properly). In the morning, I was moved to a new room, where I could noticeably tell the difference (clean linens, the remote actually in plastic wrap, the bathroom cleaned, etc). No financial compensation was offered for the inconvenience of my room, even as a AAA Travel Agent. I ended up relocating the Residence Inn next door --very comparable pricing and way better property. (The tv worked successfully, too!)

don't book during the weekend Typical Marriott property, clean and well maintained. However, if you book during a weekend the 7-11 across the street was packed all night long. Finally at almost 4am, the music and cars racing up/down the road ended and we did manage 3 hours of sleep that night. Again, hotel was fine, but the noise from across the street was unbearable. I'm staying in Dover again for a lax tourney and booking a different hotel this time.

Charged for one night for soccer tournament that was canceled due to COVID-19 My son and I were supposed to travel to Delaware to play in the St. Paddy's Day Cup over the March 13-15 weekend. The tourney ended up being canceled due to COVID19 and I was charged $139 on 3/13. I have called the hotel at least 5-6 times, and spoken to the front desk who has taken my information and stated "I will give to the manager when he comes in." On one of calls I was told, someone would call me back before the end of the day, but I heard NOTHING!!! Every time I call the comment is we are working on this, but do to current staffing, not many people are on-site. How hard can it be for the manager/back office working remotely to credit my account? I consider this horrible customer service. I realize we are in a pandemic, but you should still respond to your customers, especially those with a valid reason for why the travel did not occur (the charge should never have been put on my account in the first place). I find it hard to believe it can take almost 6 weeks to get a credit on a charge that should have never occurred.
