Not bad, pricey, no breakfast This motel room was clean except for the grout on the bathroom floor, and adequate for our stay. The grounds had significant amounts of trash on the lawn. We thought the place was a little pricey for an entry-level motel at over $100 including tax and pet fee. A very unusual aspect of this place was that the lobby was kept locked; all dealings with the lobby was by means of a small side window. Another unusual thing is that there was no breakfast on any kind. Coffee, one cup at a time, was available in one’s room, but NOTHING Else! Finally, I have to compliment the room clerk for two things. The first was I requested a ground floor room; she had to make arrangements for us and did so. The second thing is that our plans changed; we had reserved for two nights but decided to leave after the first night. This was permitted without financial penalty.

Very filthy and unsafe environment The absolute worst! Booked two rooms online. When we arrived, the place looked run down. When we got our two rooms, they smelled like cigarette smoke and vomit. I told the front desk that I had requested non-smoking rooms - he says, "oh you can smoke, just take down the alarm". There were no lamp shades on the lamps. Half the lights didn't work. There were adjoining doors to the next room that had minimal locking capabilities. People were arguing, the "neighbors" pit bull came wandering into our room while the door was open to let some of the stench out. The front desk clerk was playing war games on his phone and eating chocolate bon bons by the handful while checking us in. Needless to say, we didn't stay. Did NOT feel safe in any way. Fortunately, we were refunded our money but had to get back on the road to find another place to stay late at night.

Garbage Ecolodge Elizabeth City, NC This is a garage place. Please avoid them. I had reservation 4 months ahead (paid already) with them on April 6 2024 to run the coast guard Marathon. When I showed up to check in, they simply said we are sold out. There is no room available. They just said we are sorry. We can refund your money. Of course I couldn’t find anything around because it is the night before the marathon. That just ruined your day and mood especially right before a big race for me the next day.

Nastiest Ever Nastiest motel ever. When I pulled back the blankets there were bugs and grass in the bed. Floors have sand all over from not being mopped, hair in the sink and Diarrhea was left in the toilet. No tv remote to watch tv. It honestly looks like house keeping just comes in and pulls the covers back up and leaves it. It says no smoking but the blankets have cigarette burns…

Subpar! Subpar service, subpar rooms barely suitable for living. Definitely taking advantage of travelers lack of choice. This is 40 dollar hotel at best. It took an extended amount of time to get in with a reservation only to find the room on the dirty smelly side.
