Stayed on our trip back home We were pleasantly surprised. A comfortable room, with microwave and refrigerator. Good sized room, beds were comfortable. The place is old and in need of some updates, but for the price a good find. We have to dogs which they allow. A plus is a breakfast included. Basic but once again for the price it was ok. Would stay again if in Emporia for a night.

No frills to the max! This motel was okay, and that's the best I can say. The room was fine, tv worked, shower was good. It just had many signs of wear and tear. The smell of marijuana smoke in the hallway when my father and I arrived was offputting, but despite my concerns about potential crime, it seemed safe enough. The "breakfast" was the most meager I've ever seen at a motel/hotel - just some bagels, cereal and prepackaged pastries. In summary, this was an okay cheap motel which allowed us to save some money. Just plan on eating breakfast someplace else.

Shower did not work I stayed here, and the shower did not work, I told the man at the desk, and he insisted that I do not know how to turn on a shower. He was extremely condescending and rude. I was not asking for a refund or any money returned to me. I only wanted to inform the staff, so they could fix the shower. I regularly come to Emporia, and stay overnight. I will not stay here again, and I will not recommend Econo Lodge to anyone I meet.

You get what you pay for This is what is to be expected with an Econo Lodge. The manager was very nice and I would stay here again if necessary. The dining area was tiny but the rooms and hotel were clean. I don't have any complaints.

Good spot for the money Check in was great, the front desk staff was very helpful and gave us a ground floor room as requested. The room was clean and the beds were fairly comfortable but the bathroom is tiny with no ventilation. It felt a little claustrophobic because of the lower ceilings. The parking lot, and the hotel in general, just seemed a bit dark. That gave it the impression of being a bit unsafe, but we saw no evidence that it wasn’t. Nothing ever happened or was even hinted at, it was just a feeling. I might stay here again if I were traveling alone, but it’s not a spot for a family visit or an extended stay.
