Great stay! They have done a good job with updates to the rooms. Our room was clean and very comfortable. It has recently been completely updated. The pool was crystal clear and very inviting. There is a covered outdoor picnic area. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was typical stuff, nothing to write home about.

Budget Hotel, close to the park It's a basic hotel. The rooms were clean enough and the kids enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was a little odd being served in the gift shop but it was fine for a continental. It's exactly what you'd expect out of a budget hotel. The staff was extremely friend and the location was great very close to the national park.

Good hotel, but one extra charge Good hotel to stay in to see the New River Gorge area...actually the only one. Old hotel but the rooms are clean and comfortable. Only comment is watch for the extra charge for the room safe. We stayed one night, didn't use the safe and they added a charge without telling us they would. They took it off when I pointed it out, but in our many hotel stays, this is the first to charge for the room safe. Don't know if it is a one-time charge or daily.

Don’t stay here This is a remodeled motel charging hotel prices. We might have given a more lenient rating had it not been that the room rate was as high as much better, real hotels we’d recently stayed in. The room was musty, the pool was still closed in June, breakfast was scant and was served in a gift shop where merchandise had been shoved against the walls during breakfast hours. People outside were smoking cigarettes and marijuana. The employee at check-in clearly doesn’t favor management, based on the remarks and complaints freely shared. Wouldn’t recommend staying here, which is a shame because the town of Fayetteville was quite charming and has some good local restaurants.

Comfortable and budget friendly Had a wonderful stay. Beds were clean and comfortable, simple breakfast everyday , only 10 min away from Adventures on the Gorge. pool isn't quite ready for the season but they have a little pavilion and tennis court, basketball hoop to hang w Fam.
