Warm Welcome If was our last day of our two-week road trip, and getting late. We frustratingly drove around a couple of the scary- looking hotels by the interstate then decided to go in town to this Super 8. And were very relieved and SO warmly welcomed by Ash - he asked us questions about our trip and made us feel like old friends. Thank you so much Ash! The woman employee there also gave us a nice smile (sorry i missed her name.) We prefer non-chain motels but find they are often not well kept. So, we happily discovered on this trip that Super 8 was our go-to for consistent, clean, comfy-bed nights at a budget price. This was certainly true at Gadsden Super 8! In the morning we could see that the grounds and surrounding area looked nice and felt safe, right across from a fire station too. Thanks so much Ash and Super 8!

Make Choice hotels your FIRST and only Choice! Hotel staff was helpful and friendly. Once checked in, we couldn't get the door to our room open in fear of using force and possibly breaking the door jamb. The kind lady at the front desk came up and showed us the proper procedure for entering our room, insert key card, lift door handle, lower shoulder and give the door the old football hit! Success! It was very helpful as that procedure was needed every time we entered the room. Upon entry we noticed newer rubber flooring in place of old carpet, a nice upgrade other than my socks sticking to something that had been spilled prior. There was a nice area between the tv stand and desk that almost hid a pile of dirt that was swept into that area. The room has been repainted along with the switch covers, outlet covers, chair arm and even the bathtub (leftover remnants of painters tape). Such a nice upgrade. Speaking of the bathtub, the faucet and hardware have been upgraded to nice chrome items, just not fit properly. When showering there was water that did not drain very fast and neither did the sink. The beds were decent but when sitting down or rolling over in the night the tin bed stand would pop and bang like a 3rd grader in the corner kicking the file cabinet. I even seen a razor blade neatly tucked into the mirror frame. Not sure if it was from the 70's or 80's when mirrors and razor blades went hand in hand. As for the heat/ac unit, we never used it since the weather was nice and there was a gap at the bottom of our door for the nature feeling experience. Overall, decent place to stay for sub $59/night, NOT for the $160.55/night we paid. Oh, linens were not replaced daily, I had to go get fresh clean ones from lobby along with another roll of toilet paper. A half a roll for a family of four for a two day stay didn't cut it. Glad I wasn't staying alone and in need when I realized there wasn't any extra.

Great one night stay We needed to stay one night on our way to Cherohala Skyway. Greta is super helpful! Room was clean. The Bed was comfortable. Lighting was best ever. Felt totally safe. Door Dash brought us supper. We had a super evening at the super 8..

enjoyed We had a nice time staying here. The staff was wonderful and the place was clean and quiet and very convenient when it comes to food and shopping spots. the location was not far from Noccalula falls park and from the river and we even got to charge our boat.
