Comfort and Kindness the Kansas Way The room was one of the older ones that had not yet been redone, but it was very comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable with a variety of pillows that were fluffy and comfy. While we were there, a blizzard occurred that closed the roads in basically every direction. Fortunately, the hotel has its own restaurant that serves a variety of complimentary breakfasts each morning. The night after the blizzard, we received a phone call from the desk inviting us and all guests to supper compliments of the hotel. The kitchen staff and wait staff had been sent home, but we were all treated to a sandwich bar with a variety of meats, cheeses and breads. There were also jalapeno poppers. Kindness in Kansas is a way of life and of business. We appreciated being able to extend our reservation and to be treated to a meal without venturing out on treacherous roads. We will certainly stay again and recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable place to stay. Oh, there is a nice indoor pool and hot tub, but we didn't take advantage of them.

Older Hotel but very nice. The staff were very friendly, from check in to check out. The hotel is older but very clean. There are some areas that need a little extra love around the pool and stairways but nothing big. The only thing missing is an ATM machine. It has been a long while since I have not seen an ATM at a hotel

Disappointing We stayed here because the Heritage Inn is still closed and the purpose of our trip was to visit the Parrot Cove Water Park. We figured the hotel would be comparable, but the Clarion is so much older and showing its age. Though we asked, we didn't receive any Water Park benefits for staying at the Clarion which was disappointing. I called ahead to get a pack and play for the room, which was delivered but dirty so we didn't use it. The curtains/sheers were very dirty, as was the carpet. The deadbolt was broken and unusable. The WIFI was weak and so slow, it was nearly impossible to use.

Exceptional! Great Experience. Wonderful reception area. The greeter was Corrina (spelling?). She even helped me in the front door when I was struggling with too many things in my hands. She changed our room, so it was much more accessible. Clean room. There is rich oak paneling everywhere. Instead of the usual make-do breakfast, the attached restaurant, Barrons, was an order from the menu breakfast. The food was delicious and large servings. The wait staff was incredible. Great experience..

Clean, Comfortable and Pleasant. Our stay involved two non-adjoining rooms for a family post-Christmas celebration, something we've done for a number of years at this fine hotel. The grandkids have a place to swim in the indoor pool while the adults can enjoy complimentary coffee or tea in the area next to the pool. I believe this large facility was built in the late 1970's as a Hilton brand hotel and as a result, the rooms are smaller than contemporary hotels, as are the bathrooms. But this doesn't deter us from staying there in any way. We like the "throwback vibe" of the nearly retro feel. The low ceilings and environs are rather "cool" in our opinion. The hotel is well maintained, clean and comfortable. The commons areas are beautifully appointed. The integrated restaurant, Baron's, is upscale and your complimentary breakfast is served there. A spacious, well-lit parking lot is a plus. Vera, in guest relations / check-in, is a jewel and very helpful. We recommend the Garden City Clarion Inn to families, couples and business travelers.
