Good location Good location, spacious double-double room, large opening windows + air conditioning provided comfort, natural lighting and ventilation. We arrived late & left early for the ferry & this was a good option for that. Car park a bit inconvenient.

Disappointing!!! It really could be much much better!!!! We have in previous years stayed at the Ridges in Geelong without complaint, however, this year I have to say the housekeeping services was not at all to standard There was a very little welcoming from the staff at reception, to me it lacked some warmth. It was almost like 'it was a burden for the service staff' to be there and assist. It could have a much better vibe which could encourage guests to stay at the pool, bar or restaurant to spend their money?? We were constantly advised that 'housekeeping was understaffed', and that definitely showed when our beds were supposedly made, but made as if a child was making up the bed. Carpets not vacuumed before, we were even given access to the room. It looked like housekeeping were just rushing, doing the bare minimum replacing towels not even removing the dirty cups and dishes from the night before. Housekeeping just threw the bed doona and pillows on to the bed only. Not made in anyway!! Surely they need some quality control of some sort!!! And if the hotel is fully booked especially knowing in advance, staff should be allocated accordingly to their roles. To give some credit when we contacted reception someone came up immediately to rectify the problem, and I think it was in fact the reception staff that stepped up. I understand the hotel is somewhat aged and is in need of an update, however, the room itself is spacious, and generally clean, but it lacks draws space, and power points for technology and even a glass or face towels in the bathroom. Perhaps those who are running the show should consider not only their profit margins but provide a better overall service as that is what is required here. From this experience we will now ensure we look elsewhere and not automatically return to the Ridges as there are many similar hotels in the Geelong area. MS

Radiant Stay at Rydges The Rydges is one of the top quality accommodations in Geelong. Very roomy space with all the modern luxuries you would find in a top quality and well known hotel. Centrally located with Geelong City Centre just outside the hotel, Kardinia Park Stadium down the road and full access to the Surf Coast and Bellarine Peninsula district.

dated this place is clearly old fashioned, very dated from the room to the food, especially the breakfast. Baked beans and frozen hash browns. The dinner menu was also super basic, It's got old people energy.
