Always excellent We stay at this top notch hotel for a couple of days a week almost every week during skiing season. The staff if friendly, caring and competent. We are welcomed each time we visit, and they go out of their way to anticipate and accommodate every little need. The bed is comfortable and the entire room is spotless every single time. Love this place!

Hotel is Closed I had a confirmed reservation for 8/27 - 8/30. Imagine my surprise when I pulled into the empty parking lot only to find a sign on the door stating ... sorry we are closed. It would have been nice if someone called to tell me that prior to my arriving in Gettysburg. I certainly won't be making any future reservations at the Battlefield Inn and Suites!

25th Wedding Anniversary We were on our way home from our 25th wedding anniversary vacation in North Carolina. We decided to stop in Gettysburg for the night for two reasons. We were very tired from driving for about 9 hours and we wanted to take advantage of the historic area. We had a nice checkin. The room was nice and clean. We were feeling comfortable. We were wondering however why the hotel didn’t have a lot of people staying at it. The desk clerk informed us there was more people coming in later. My husband and I opted to go get some dinner. We arrived back at the hotel for a good nights sleep as we had another 9 hour drive the next day back to northeast NY. Approximately 10:30pm we starting hearing LOUD noises from above. Woke us right up. We decided to wait a bit to see if the noise calmed down. It did NOT. I called the front desk clerk, the same clerk that checked us in, and asked if he could do something about the people above us. He assured us he would. The noise stopped for about a half hour and started again! I called again at 12:24am to complain. They said they would take care of it. My husband and I were so tired that we finally fell asleep after 1am with the noise still going on. The next morning we saw the young people who had rented the room above us. They were either older teenagers or college students. FROM PENNSYLVANIA. I just hope when they get older, they get it. They get that respect for other people goes a long way. I complained to the desk clerk but she just said “sorry about that”. We got in our car and headed home VERY tired. We wish the hotel had taken care of the matter as we paid to stay there without incident just as much as the next person. Disappointed.

Very nice, comfy, clean Beds were comfortable, rooms very clean, location was quiet but not far from town, sink is outside of the bathroom which we dont care for much, the fan made a weird noise that my husband noticed but I didn't so we just cooled it during the day, staff were super friendly They set out freshly baked cookies in the evening and the breakfast was nice (self-made waffles, eggs, bacon, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, muffins, yogurt), pool is tiny, 3ft deep, and bottom stucco is crumbling making it uncomfortable for feet and knees

Would Stay Again I booked this hotel for the pool and was given the option to select a room with a jacuzzi. We didn't use the pool; it was absurdly small, more like a hot tub. It was fine in the end because we booked so many tours and spent so much time sightseeing we didn't have time to use it anyway. I did use the jacuzzi, situated outside the bathroom kind of in the living room area. It was huge! It was so relaxing I wish I'd had more time to use it. The staff was incredibly friendly. The breakfast was quite good. Overall we were very pleased with our experience at Sleep Inn and Suites and would stay again. Also, its location made it very easy to get around Gettysburg. All of the places we wanted to go were no more than a 10 minute drive from the hotel.
