I said average, but some were in between average and very good I guess ?? It came down to this hotel and I Hilton property when picking a place to stay for an event in Aston Pa. Choose Staybridge because we recently stay at one in Harrisburg. And thought this may have been more for the points than the Hilton property. Turned out this Staybridge was as good as the one in Harrisburg. This one wasn’t as clean and seemed older than the other one. Room was comfortable enough and thank god the window unit ac worked during this stay in 95+ degree weather. There was a problem with the hotels central ac system and halls and lobby were very warm and muggy at times. We had to keep turning down the temp in the room to try and get the room cool enough for my wife. Room had two comfortable double beds and a kitchenette that was nice. Breakfast was a little better than the other Staybridge in that they had fresh berries and better hard boiled eggs. They have a nice little outdoor pool that I used. No shade in the late morning and afternoon though. Nice to cool off and get some exercise in the hot humid stay. There was no hot water at the coffee stand one of the stops I made there so no tea. But had the coffee stand with different coffees and cream. People at the hotel were friendly and accommodating. Decor of the room was darker in nature. They did give out bottles of water on request and had free shaver and toothpaste, but no shave cream. And room was bigger than the one we would have had at the Hilton. Didn’t get to the work out room or evening reception. Had a room on the forth floor away from elevators that was quite. Not a bad stay….

Black mold This hotel was not cheap what so ever, paying 900$ for 2 nights you would expect a great stay….wrong. The staff at the front was helpful checking in a quick to do so. When we got in our room we could tell that cleanliness isn’t a top priority here. Horrible stained floors, dusty curtains and the worst part black mold in the shower ceilings. I told the front desk on Friday morning, day of my sister in laws wedding around 1030 am. They told me they would send house keeping. We waited about 2 hours before we went back to the room and nothing was cleaned. I can understand if I asked for a pillow or a towel and it would take a while but something like this is unacceptable. My wife is 9 months pregnant and my 2 girls under the age of 3 were with us as well. So instead of staying on Friday night after having a full day of wedding stuff we decided to pack our bags and drive the 2 hours home with tired kids and a tired wife at 12 am because it was safer then staying at a hotel who doesn’t take something like that seriously. Don’t stay here

Slept like a baby after Longwood We just stayed one night after being at Longwood Gardens until closing. We were tired and slept very well. No noise; I only knew other guests were there because I saw them. The showers were hot, the room was cool, my daughters loved the two-room studio and it was a great way to end the holidays and a road trip. I am confident we will be back - it is only a two hour drive from home.

Could be better This property could be great based on location and size of rooms/layout, and the staff for the most part was friendly and tried to help. However, we booked a suite with two bedrooms at the end of December to go to Longwood Gardens--a long standing tradition with elderly in-laws and kids. The room was disgusting--there were multiple white stains on the couch cushions (over a dozen) and a couple on the floor in one of the bedrooms. Also stains on one of the chairs, what looked like coffee creamer drips on the side table, and smeared toothpaste (at least, it smelled minty) on on one of the dressers that had not been cleaned off. Having arrived late and exhausted after driving for eight hours, we only noticed this the next morning. There was also a small yappy dog that woke us up two nights running, one day barking between 5:30 and 9:45 am (when we left that morning) almost non-stop. To be fair, it is a pet-friendly hotel and we knew this, but still, not ideal. Staff offered to move us on the second day to two connected rooms one door down from our original room. However, I asked to take a look at the rooms before agreeing and noticed stained carpet there too. That, combined with not knowing where the yappy dog was and elderly in-laws for whom moving would be a hassle made us stay in the original room. Again, staff was friendly and tried to help but they were largely booked up and the adjoining room was the only other option they told me they had available. Breakfast was great, gotta give credit where credit is due. But the level of cleanliness was just completely unacceptable and the room was gross to sleep in. Front desk knocked a few bucks off the bill, which was close to a grand for three nights; however, I'd rather spend more and stay somewhere where I don't feel I have to keep my shoes on in the room or cover the couch with sheets to sit on it.
