Very nice staff but not for anyone with mobiity issues I am familiar with this facility having lived on the Eastern Shore for 50 years. I remember when it was completely redone in the past several years and that is why we chose to stay there. What we were not prepared for is that it did not have an elevator only a staircase to the second floor. This would be hard for anyone with mobility issues. Of course, they have disability rooms, but not everyone requests them. Second is the renovation results. When you enter the room it is very attractive with new furnishings, linens, electronics, etc. Then there is the bathroom. I guess they would consider it updated but most customers would not. There is the original pocket door which does not work correctly, and then the shower. That is no doubt original with the original handles which are far from clean. There is virtually no water pressure nor hot water. The breakfast area consists of three small tables, and though the food is very nice you truly have to eat and run some that someone else can possibly get a set. Considering that this is such a popular spot for the summer season, and the prices follow resort pricing, that more was not done to restore the property.

Complete Rip Off I would sleep in my car before I stayed in this hotel again. Was charged a super high price ( I have stayed in choice hotels all over the US and have never disappointed with them) but this was a negative star room. It smelled like stale cigarette smoke, so you couldn't leave the heat/ac unit on. The bathroom door was a pocket door that didn't close and the overall condition was just a run down rat hole. After a bad night sleep I couldn't wait to get out of the place.

Horrible Service I generally will not complain about a place but this location I am disgraced by and the staff, mainly the GM that could not even call and handle the situation. It appears he comes in “when he feels like it” according to Happy the late shift front desk person. I was in the area and was tired and decided it would be best to stay the night. I found this hotel and from the parking lot went into booking.com and made a reservation for that night which was the 28th of September. I went in and Happy the front desk person said my reservation was not until the following day, I explained to him I just booked this and I definitely chose Sunday the 28th and not Monday the 29th. I said ok, obviously there was an error can you just do tonight instead of it’s more I’ll be happy to pay. He said call booking.com and they can change it since it was a no cancellation reservation. I immediately called them and they called the hotel and Happy said “i can’t authorize it”. I go back in the hotel and Happy tells me I can make a new reservation for that night and tomorrow the GM will take care of the error. The following morning I went down and the GM OR ANY ‘manager was not present but happy assured me again the GM will handle this. I called multiple that day and the GM was never there and all I got was we can’t refund you go through booking.com. Once again I called booking.com right after I called the hotel and booking contacted the hotel and magically the GM said we will not refund it. I paid for two nights and stayed one. This is a disgrace. I have contacted corporate and they are trying to resolve this.

Do stay here Very old and dilapidated. Nobody at the front desk, carpets are dirty. Box’s piled in lobby area. Rooms are very small. I had to fix the screen and secure the window myself, where the room was broken into previously. Worst hotel I’ve been too in years. I wish I bought a tent to stay in instead of this dump. Run away from here quick.

Terrible Hotel For the last three years I have stayed here when I visit family at the Marina but this time it was horrible. New owners and room defectiveness made the stay upsetting. I booked a king but somehow Booking changed it to king/queen so I called to verify and the man at front desk told me what I was booked for but would change as the price is the same. But when I arrived the female owner wanted to charge more. This was so upsetting so it started off wrong. Then the next morning the door would not close so they had to relocate me to another room which the air conditioner took six hours to cool down the room. It used to be a great place no more. Plus they wanted $100.00 cash deposit even though I reserved with credit card??
