Good place, great staff We found the Comfort Suites in Greenville when looking for a place in the path of totality for the 2024 solar eclipse. It was in a good location and had a suite available for eclipse day. It was a great decision. The facility is clean, in good repair, and well equipped. The room and bed were comfortable; the HVAC worked well and was easy to control. The shower provided plenty of hot water, consistently delivered. But what made it a great experience was the staff. Lots of visitors came to this town and this hotel for the eclipse; the staff were well prepared and helped us enjoy the experience to the fullest. The managers, the front desk staff, the breakfast host, and the housekeepers were all friendly, welcoming, and good at their jobs. They offered helpful advice on local attractions and restaurants. We felt welcome and well cared for.

Nice stay, but firm mattress Did a one night stay. Got there late, but the receptionist that night was very friendly and made sure that were good. The room was nice and clean, and after working all day and then driving 7 hours, I was ready for the bed. Unfortunately, the mattress was pretty firm, and I just couldn't sleep. Not only that, but they have moved to having these multiple little pillows on the bed, and those just aren't big enough for me. (I know, the bed and pillows are just preferences) Breakfast was great the next morning. It was just what we needed before heading out on the road again. The options were nice, but was not a fan of the coffee that they were using there. Overall, a very good stay, just not a great stay.

Urine-Soaked Mattress If I could give 0 stars I would. We stayed here while we were on a Christian Tours motorcoach tour. Our Room was a king room and from first appearances it was great. That was until we actually got into the bed. We had just showered and were getting in bed for the night. We started watching a movie and kept feeling something wet on the bed, but we thought maybe we're just feeling things because we keep our rooms cold. Well after a little while of the sensation not going away, we turned on the light and checked the bed, to our surprise and disgust there was a huge yellow wet spot on the bed. It was obviously urine. It was so bad that it was soaked through the mattress pad (which wasn't waterproof and didn't even cover the whole mattress) and was saturating the mattress. It was disgusting. Honestly, we almost vomited. My husband, who was the one laying on that side quickly ran to shower, again, while I called downstairs. The front desk seemed shocked (i would hope so) and offered us another room. So, I went downstairs to get the new keys and we repacked all of our belongings and moved rooms. As we were packing, I did notice that the room wasn't cleaned as it should be because there was an eyeliner pencil under one of the tables that wasn't ours. When I went down to get the key the front desk said that they blocked the room so no one else gets it and apologized. It was late (10pm) and I didn't feel like causing a big commotion, so I just accepted his apology. Looking back, I should have caused the commotion. The next morning, on our way home I emailed corporate about the issue because it honestly is a huge deal, we laid in someone's bodily fluid! Anyway, at first corporate offered us 12,000 points.... I replied back informing them of the seriousness of the issue and then they offered 20,000 points. I finally got tired of going back and forth and informed them of our choice account information but also reiterated the seriousness of the situation. They credited our account with 25,000 points. Doing research in the places we vacation regularly this barely covers 1 nights stay. Looking back, I honestly should have called the health department or something because this was a biohazard, it was someone's bodily fluid!! I honestly don't think this hotel or corporate took this situation seriously enough. There is absolutely no excuse for this to happen. I'm still grossed out to be honest. I know the hotel & corporate aren't going to do anything else about it but I just wanted to warn others about this.

Simple, affordable, convenient, super-nice staff Simple, affordable, convenient, super-nice staff. Stayed here overnight (on New Year's Eve!) for friends' wedding in Greenville. Property is older, but clean, and in good repair. And the desk and cleaning staff were super nice, accommodating, relaxed, hospitable. Recommended.
