Horrible customer service The older red haired front desk attendant lady is horrible. I walked in the lobby and there is a dog laying beside the desk where everyone can see it. I asked her about her dog, she replied by heaving a sigh, and told me in an angry tone, “sir that is a service dog, IT IS NOT TO BE INTERACTED WITH”, while rolling her eyes. The way she spoke to me was completely uncalled for, when she could have kindly told me that was her service dog. Instead she was rude, demeaning and unprofessional. Don’t stay here, there are better hotels in this town with great customer service.

Average and Decent I'm going to sort of give the Greenville, TX Hampton Inn a pass on the cost - over $1200 for a 3 night stay. They were taking advantage of surge pricing for the 4/8/24 total eclipse. At around $120, it would be fairly priced - a bargain at $79/night. The place is generally clean, but in serious need of a make over. Our room was quite spacious and nicely appointed, if a bit on the stark side. However, the bed was too soft, indicating wear and tear in my opinion. Biggest complaint is that you will hear every step from the room above - insist on the 4th floor or gamble on a decent night's sleep, as the ceiling will amplify ever noise from above. The staff was a mixed bag - from kind, small-town sweet and service oriented to down right rude. Breakfast is included and would be very acceptable at around $100 per night. Location is close to I-30 and an easy walk to decent restaurants and the sports park.

Super Clean! We were in Greenville to visit our son for his 30th birthday. This must be a new inn because everything was new and super clean! I’ve never seen a more cleaner room than our room at this place. The room was also spacious and the bathroom counter was large. Most importantly, the bathroom had plenty of hooks and racks for towels (most hotels only provide 2)! It even had 3 hooks in the entry way for purses and jackets! The shower floor needed a mat because it was a little slippery. Anyhow, we stayed for three nights. We ate breakfast each morning. It was the typical breakfast offerings: eggs (omelet & scrambled), potatoes, sausages & bacons, waffle station (vanilla & blue berry batter), bagels, muffins, yogurt, cereal, apples and bananas. I was a little disappointed that hey didn’t have any CoffeeMate - only half & half. The bed and pillows were a little harder than mine at home, but we still slept fine. The location was in a commercial area (next to Lowe’s) - close to the freeway, but it was quiet. The staff was friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

RACIALLY PROFILED! I’m an African American woman who tried to check into this hotel at 1am. I was turned away by the crazy old lady they have running the night counter named Linda. After accusing me of not having enough money (based off of how I looked, I had on a hoodie) she then refused to rent me a room after I questioned her about what time the new day started for check-in instead of answering the question! As I left the Hotel furious I drove almost 2 hours to get there, I realized I had been discriminated against by Linda! Do NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!
