We had an outstanding stay We stayed for a week at this hotel. The location is centralized and right next to the Plaza del Sol, a large open air shopping center. First and foremost, the service was outstanding. At all times we felt the staff cared and did what they could to help us enjoy our stay. The breakfast at the Cafe Urbano was outstanding with a wide array of freshly prepared and delicious food. The service at the Cafe Urbano deserves special mention. We tried the French restaurant and enjoyed it; tasty French bistro style food and good wine. The club level service was very good, with two hours of a very fine wine. We were pleased with the upgrade that we received due to IHG diamond status; the room had a living room and a ridiculous bathroom. Not many cons; the pool is underwhelming and there did not seem to be many guests. All and all, we felt the famous IHG hospitality and recommend.

Worst 5 star hotel I have ever been. It is NOT a 5 star Hotel, its more a 2/3 star hotel. Made a mess with my laundery (they cleaned the white clothes with Blue and got stained), I gave a list of 8 different things that where wrong in the bedroom over night and did not make an effort to fix. The hotel staff were nice and appologetic but I think there is a lack of management!

A rejuvenated 5 stars experience! Rejuvenated 5 stars experience, after a review. For his 80th birthday month, I wanted to treat my #hubby @enriquedlz to a five star experience at a French restaurant called Bistro La Bastille. I was persuaded by a charming manager Leonardo Cadena who listened well, agreed that what we had last night fell below their standards. He persuaded me to dine once more, in his words, "recover the quality of the experience you wanted." I told him I am not looking for comps, just great quality to what I am used to at #ViadeGuadalupe. It turns out the Galileo wine is what they serve at this restaurant, which hubby approved of. I also told him I would be taking such a big risk. He smiled. His demeanor persuaded me as he was sincere. We paid for all the orders and they gave us free dessert. Of course, the bouillabaisse was served and this time, it passed in quality: fish was fresh, tender and shrimp was fresh and sauce was great. I told the manager to train the chef and send him to learn with the chefs in #viadeguadalupe. Earlier, he had sent a plate of petit fours and a written apology signed by him and on the letterhead of the GM Patricia Chapman. This is 5 star service. Tonight we got 5 star quality food experience. I got what I wanted to treat my hubby. #intercontinentalpresidente #guadalajara

Hotel needs maintenance & care I’ve stayed here countless times. Was my favorite hotel, but now it seems run down. The decor and furniture is old, linens are sometimes ripped, missing hangers, doesn’t look sharp and clean anymore. I hope the IHG chain pays attention to this hotel, it really is a shame to see it go.

Worst Intercontinental Experience This hotel is a failure, the worst IC property of the world, old, dirty, and stained carpets. One of the trash cans had the garbage from the previous guest. As an ambassador member the benefits are just the minimum. The restaurant is very expensive, very limited menu, no paper menus. Incomplete water bottles on the room. On Aug 18, I requested the missing bottled water twice. No one went to my room to deliver the bottle. On Aug 20, I asked twice to get the bottles, I got the water after my second request. There was a coffee machine plus the coffees etc., no cups or mugs to serve the coffee. The additional lock in the door was broken. Room size and layout is good, nice desk. Bathroom size is small. Shower area is good, and a powerful and nice shower. Carpet near my room was dirty for few days, dust and small particles and was like that every day. If is a rainy day, the area next to the entrance get flooded and is hard to leave the hotel. Not recommended.
