Great hotel near West Point We stayed for three nights for A Day. The hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. The weather was warm and humid and our room a/c did its job well. We were surprised how much parking was available, since the hotel was full for A Day. We always found a place to park even when we returned later in the evening. The front desk person was friendly - check in was easy. The incidental credit card hold was $20/day, which seemed reasonable. Check out was also easy - we did the online checkout process. The free breakfast was tasty - there were plenty of options, including eggs, bacon, waffles, muffins, etc. There is a wonderful BBQ restaurant within a 5-minute walk from the hotel. We will definitely stay here again.

Good for a weekend stay Stayed here one night for a wedding at Bear Mountain Inn on 10/05/24. The female at check in was very accommodating , she provided us a quiet room on top floor room ( room 310, not facing route 9 ). The room was recently renovated and cleaned. The Ac unit was also very quiet. The free breakfast was good and coffee was hot. The reason I gave this review a 3 stars ( Average) because my in law’s room was at first floor slightly across the conference room. The hotel rented the conference room and became a party room, therefore, my in law can not sleep until midnight due to the party music noise issues .

Overall okay but Needs a little extra attention around cleanliness and readiness I stayed here Aug 8-11, for a wedding but solo in room 318, king studio suite Pros: - Great location to West Point military academy, Bear Mountain State Park - Delicious breakfast - Friendly Staff and they were helpful in me leaving something for other guests when they checked in. - Spacious room with table/chairs, coffee station, fridge, couch and tv and separate king bed, dresser and cabinet for closet and a separate side compartment for ironing board (I thought this was smart) - Next to a gas station and a delicious BBQ restaurant Cons: - The room overall was clean but the bathroom had hair on the bath tub, shower curtain and towels. Long black hair against the white, very obvious which means someone wasn’t paying attention or not diligent enough about cleanliness and readiness for guests. The front desk offered to move me to another room multiple times, but my things were already unpacked at this time. So I asked them to give me a new shower curtain for me to hang myself and clean towels. That was my decision and I was okay with it. - Floor was dirty between bathroom and living room and I did not feel comfortable walking barefoot in the room. I notified the wrong desk but this was not resolved before I left. - Water temperature in the shower was lukewarm/cold. I thought maybe it was due to showering during peak hours, but the last time was at midnight. I only alerted the staff upon checkout. STRUCTURAL THINGS - From the bed, You have to walk through the living room to get to the bathroom. - There is no towel hook by the shower and toilet is too far from shower to easily reach, so I set my toilet on the bath mat. - Shower curtain hangs low and bunches up in the shower, could be a slipping hazard FYI. Hotel is not close to downtown Highland Falls (Lyft ride approx $30 including tip)

Sleepless in Ft. Montgomery This facility is a construction site masquerading as a hotel. Virtually the entire second floor (and perhaps more) is completely torn up and being renovated. The workers doing the renovation are staying in the hotel with their families. When I checked in around 4:00 pm I wanted to take a nap after a long day of driving, but the constant hammering and use of power tools in the room directly above me meant that was impossible - it continued until at least 5:30 PM at which point I gave up and left the building. Although I complained to the front desk, they were not able to make it stop. When I returned to the room after dinner, I was greeted by the unrelenting shrieking of a small child from the room next door, which was occupied not by another hotel guest, but by the family of the renovating workers, who didn't even have their door closed. After complaining again about the noise, I asked for a different room and was only offered one on the floor being renovated. Although it was claimed by the clerk that the room was "finished," the thermostat was laying on a shelf with its wires protruding from the wall. The bathroom counter was covered with fine white dust. Not finished. Exhausted, I gave up and went to sleep in the partially renovated room, dodging the construction obstacles in the hallway. No hotel guest should have to put up with this travesty. The rental of a hotel room implies "quiet enjoyment" of which I received neither. I will be pursuing a refund. Management should close the hotel for renovations rather than perpetrating a fraud on tired travelers.

Wait until they finish remodeling. The breakfast was sad; we ate out. We were there 4 nights; every morning they set out sides for oatmeal but the crockpot was always empty. The yogurt was good (Chobani & Yoplait) but the rest of it was unappetizing. Our room was well worn - lots of wear on the inside of the bathroom door, an outlet that didn't sit flush to the wall, leaving wires exposed (if we were traveling w/ small children, I'd have asked for another room), badly grouted floor tiles, sloppily repaired bathroom counter, messily repaired seams in the ceiling's drywall, the fridge had no temp control and kept things only slightly cooler than room temperature. OTOH, the pool looked like it would be good for my water PT (3' at the shallow end, 4.5' at the "deep" end; just a rectangle, no funky curves or angles); we were sorry we hadn't packed our bathing suits. Location is very close to West Point - only about 5-7 minutes to the visitors' center.
