Fantastic family break at Leonardo Hotel Hinckley We stayed at the Leonardo Hotel Hinckley and were warmly welcomed by Beth at check-in. She was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. When we found our first room was too warm, she immediately arranged an alternative without any hesitation. That evening, we had dinner in the restaurant and were greeted by Abby Edwards. She was wonderfully attentive, taking the time to accommodate my wife’s dietary needs due to a medical condition, and offering our daughter different meal options since she wasn’t sure what to choose. Thanks to Abby’s care, we all enjoyed a really lovely meal. On our second day, we were looked after by another kind and helpful team member, Abigail Crumpton, who once again made sure my wife’s menu was adjusted perfectly. Alex was also on hand in the morning, ensuring we were well taken care of. We also made use of the leisure centre facilities—the pool, gym, sauna, and steam room. Nikki was fantastic and arranged all our sessions for the rest of our stay with such ease and friendliness. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at the Leonardo Hotel Hinckley. The facilities are spotless, the food is excellent, and the staff truly make the stay special. A big thank you to Beth, Abby, Abigail, and Nikki for their outstanding hospitality—we really appreciated everything you did to make our stay so enjoyable.

It’s ok, I’d stay again. Ok, this is a busy little bee of a hotel. Our room is really nice (executive) though the pillows are a tad hard for our taste. The car park requires a code to exit which changes daily and is a pain in the bum if you forget to ask for it…..helps if your told about it in the first place to be fair! But nonetheless it’s a pain. Breakfast was kinda chaos to be honest, a genuine free for all buffet due to the sheer volume of people and the lack of a hash brown at breakfast is always a point list for me and the wife! New potatoes instead! Staff are friendly and helpful. The bed is great for for me but not so great for the wife…..it is a little hard but I don’t mind it. Also the headboard is scratched and ripped which in an exec room isn’t great. Would I stay again? I wouldn’t rush back but if required I could stay again without too many complaints for sure. Price wise it was probably a little overpriced for what it is, we paid roughly £125 per night £100 was probably the mo way in my opinion but I’m not crying about it.

Do not try to check in early - commitments not honoured We'd booked an Executive Room, at a significant premium. The Leonardo website clearly states that this type of room has early checkin from 1pm. We double-checked by email and they confirmed it. We turned up at 1:30 - and were told that we couldn't check in until 3, no exceptions. We were exhausted after a long journey and had to settle for a significantly downgraded room in order to get the rest we needed. The lady on reception was very polite, and it was not her fault that the hotel mis-sells rooms and then doesn't honour their commitments. Other than that the hotel is fine, although very busy with drunken noisy wedding guests and not enough staff to cope - we tried to phone reception a few times from our room but the phone was never answered. In future we'll look for somewhere that actually provides the services it charges a premium for.

Lovely family friendly hotel Lovely hotel! Best, most spacious family room we’ve stayed in. Second stay at this hotel and it doesn’t disappoint. Really nice leisure facilities- pool, jacuzzi, sauna and changing facilities. Buffet breakfast in morning absolutely delicious and so much choice! Friendly, helpful staff!

Never again Booked via GN holidays - A Motown/Soul weekend. Music was great last night but finished too early at 12 o’clock. No atmosphere in the function room as it’s a conference room with a brought in dance floor that was much too small for the number of guests. Our hotel room was lovely but the weekend has been spoiled mostly by the poor dinner offering. Cold, small portions and the food had mostly run out by table 20. The first tables up to the supervised buffet had new potatoes, last few tables had chips. Why? Then they served new potatoes at breakfast! Did they find the ones they should have served last night? Breakfast was a buffet but the first toaster broke. The second toaster took four attempts to toast. Again we were in a side room not the hotel restaurant. No tables laid. Get your own cutlery. Eat a yogurt with a dessert spoon. Also the bars are badly run. If people order a bottle of wine, the staff leave the bar to go and get it from somewhere else. Staff collecting glasses when there’s no one serving behind the bar. I ordered a pint of Diet Coke and a pint of lemonade from the Triumph bar. Coke was £2.90 and lemonade was £3.90. So I queried why the £1.00 extra for lemonade, the barman said it was the sugar tax. The sugar tax would probably account for 10p extra so I don’t know where the other 90p came from? Long queues at the bar at 6pm when everyone is told to arrive for dinner. Not enough staff to serve them even though the hotel know that everyone is arriving at that time. Most people prefer the lights turned down for dancing, but it was like a football ground even though there is a dimmer _. Dirty plates were left on the tables for ages. Guests started clearing them away themselves. All the waiting staff disappeared when they should have been clearing tables. It’s such a shame really as it seemed we were going to have a lovely weekend when we arrived but it went downhill. Wouldn’t stay there again and would think twice about booking a GN holiday again because they did nothing to help the situation but were heard to say that it didn’t reflect well on them.
