Good spot, kind people The hotel was great for us! Location was good, clean, nice staff. It was not the Ritz but was very reasonable priced for what you got. We left a jacket behind and the hotel staff was kind enough to call us directly and they sent the jacket to us. They could have easily just ignored it. Thanks Sonesta Simply Suites

Hard to Find, but Decent. This is a fairly nice place to stay, but it was very difficult to find it as it's hidden back from the main roads and there is no visible sign, at least not late at night when I was arriving. They took a ~$100 deposit upon check-in that was not mentioned when I booked the room, so that was annoying. The room was clean however, and there is a full kitchen for those who need it, although I did not use it myself.

Simply perfect. Everything was perfect. I really appreciated the layout of the room, the ergonomic desk chair, the easy chair, the quality pots in the kitchen, the quality flat iron. There was essentially no noise from outside the room. The exercise/laundry room was well equipped and nicely laid out (plus free coffee!). The staff was friendly and helpful. What more could a business traveler want? Absolutely a great all-suite property for the price!

Dogs barked the entire stay I traveled solo to have a few nights away. This was a Christmas gift from my husband. I’m a Mom and he so kindly wanted to give me a couple peaceful nights to myself, but it was anything but peaceful. Checkin was fine and the front desk staff were pleasant but this is a pet friendly hotel and nearly every door I passed on the first floor had a magnet on it that said pets were in the room. As soon as I opened my door the one directly across the hall started barking. I wore earplugs most of my stay because of all the dogs barking, and I’m also allergic to dogs so I wouldn’t have booked this hotel myself (that’s on us), so I couldn’t sleep well between the dogs barking and my allergies. My last day hotel called and housekeeping banged on the door to tell me checkout is 11 even though both the closet and main door of the room say checkout is 12. Housekeeping manager was rude and said “they tell you checkout is at 11 when you check-in (they actually did not tell me that) but since you noticed the sign we will let you get by with a 12 checkout” as if I am dying to stay in this pet dander infested hotel, I’m just sleep deprived. Needless to say, I will never return. I will do my homework and never book a pet friendly hotel again. Positives are the front desk staff were very courteous even when I told her this happened she apologized several times. We have stayed here before and not had any problems so it’s truly whomever you get placed next to. The room was clean and I had everything I needed as long as I wore earplugs and took allergy medicine.

Bait and Switch. Still, not a bad hotel. If you’re traveling by yourself or one other person, this is a nice budget option for sure. The staff was very friendly, the room was good, the bed was comfy. No breakfast, no problem. Here’s the problem I had: I booked a suite with a bedroom and a foldout couch and living area. They swapped my room for a WAY smaller one at the very last minute, after I confirmed my reservation by phone a day prior. My friend and I had to sleep in the same bed together. We laughed it off, and that was not a big deal. Nor did I make a stink at the front desk, that wouldn’t have helped. I had a friendly and professional chat with the woman at the desk, and she said that’s basically all they had. So I got stuck with it, then brushed it off and lived with it, as anyone probably should. Another whole room would’ve been excessive, we didn’t really need that, but we were way less comfortable. They shouldn’t have switched our room on us like that. The room we got was cheaper than what we reserved, and they gave us zero recourse, but we’re nice guys. We’re low-budget guys, but that’s a low-level scam. So we’re just not going to stay at Sonesta Suites hotels anymore after this. We’re experienced travelers for our jobs, and we only go back to places that don’t pull this kind of stuff. In all fairness, they told me that the place was under construction, and that was the reason why we got a small room. That’s not the point. They had my phone number and email address, and could’ve given me advance warning. Just 30 seconds, a voicemail or quick email. That’s shady man. We stayed there for just one night, but what if you the reader are planning on staying a week? That could easily amount to a bigger problem, for more than one person. There’s a pretty decent-looking Drury Inn & Suites closer to downtown, just far enough from the highway to be quiet. I’ll check that place out next time I’m in Huntsville. For all you budget travelers out there, Sonesta Suites - Exchange Park is very safe, but not quiet due to the ongoing construction on the hotel. We had guys banging on the outside window with hammers at 9AM. Mornin’ y’all, we didn’t object, we just got up and ate our food. If you book a room with more than a bed and a chair, be warned, that’s what we thought we were getting. I have the pictures that Sonesta Suites posted of our room from when we booked the trip. You might not get the same room, but it’s a solid room. The kitchenette was useful, full fridge and freezer, but we could do without a cold-shoulder from the Sonesta corporate office.
