Very Nice Room with a View Arrived a lot later than expected but our room was ready and digital key worked great. Restaurant was still open so able to get a little food to take to room which was helpful. Recommend the river view rooms, very nice to wake up to. Using Keurig cup coffee makers was nice. Some slight trouble with TV remote but figured it out. Blueberry pancakes were awesome the next morning but the wait was toooooo long. Server discounted our bill for the wait which was very nice. Have used this hotel once before and do recommend it for the area and restaurants around it.

TERRIBLE BEDS...worst I have ever tried to sleep in. TERRIBLE BEDS...worst I have ever tried to sleep in...and management doesn't care if you complain. I've been a loyal Hilton customer for over 30 years and have stayed at 100's of properties in 25+ countries. Trust me when I say the beds at the hotel are the worst I have ever slept on in my life. I even tried sleeping in the chair. I would have asked for another room if my wife was not sound asleep after a long day's drive. I asked management for a refund on the room and was told tough luck. They even advised me that I should have woken my wife at 2 am and had her move to another room (about an hour process). Larry Wolf is the manager at the location. I expected much more than being brushed off. This attitude tells me they DON'T CARE if they have TERRIBLE beds. They just don't understand that the most important item at the hotel is the beds. If you can't have good beds, get them or close the property. If you are looking for a good hotel in that area, go to the Marriott down the road. Great hotel and staff, and the beds are the best in town.

No Discretion! No Common Sense! Not concerned for solo traveler safety! Hilton you should be ashamed! I called in advance of my daughter traveling alone cross country to come home. She is 20 years old. I called the number listed on HILTON GARDEN INN - IDAHO FALLS website. Pressed 1 for new reservations and apparently got transferred to a call center. I explained the situation that my daughter was 20 and traveling without me (however, she had my credit card) and made sure that there would not be a problem for her to check in. I was told it absolutely was not a problem as long as she had the credit card I was using to pay with the reservation and that they would add her name to the notes in the reservation. Paid in advance. Was reassured from Hilton that it was NOT AN ISSUE and they booked her room under my Honors number. When she arrived at HGI that evening, the front desk would not give her the room. The front desk was rude to her and treated her awful. I called the same number I originally called to resolve the situation and was put on hold for 28 minutes before being disconnected. I then called back and got the front desk staff who said they spoke with their manager and they would not allow her to stay. They told me the call center does not work at their hotel and doesn't represent them. If I call your phone number and I am greeted by an automated system then whoever picks up that call ABSOLUTLEY DOES represent you! If they made an error that's on you and them, not my innocent 20 year old daughter. Ultimately, they sent my 20 year old daughter away in a city she has never been in without a place to stay! Cancelling my HONORS plan! After not having any issues at any of her previous stops, the IDAHO FALLS HILTON GARDEN INN refused to check her into her room and told them to leave the facility because she wasn’t old enough to be there. They have left my 20 year old daughter stranded mid-trip!

2nd verse same as the 1st This is my 2nd review of this Garden Inn--one year later--and this place is still a gem. Located directly on the river the view from the river facing rooms is simply stunning. The rooms show a bit or age but not enough to detract from the overall experience. I'll stay here again! A special nod to the front desk staff who were amazing throughout with a big thanks to Carolyn for going above and beyond--you really did make for a wonderful birthday stay.

Fantastic place This place is fantastic. Pristine, bright, professional. In a very nice setting with beautiful water views from some rooms. But what makes this place great is the hotel staff. So friendly, so nice, so caring. Everyone was great from the front desk staff, the breakfast staff, everyone- but I want to give a special shoutout to Justine Batalden - the Assistant GM - and Larry W the GM. Justine went above and beyond - and they all are top rate.
