SMALL Room! This hotel has the TINIEST rooms I’ve ever seen in a hotel. My room had a handicap notice by the door with a buzzer type doorbell that I’m guessing would help anyone staying in the room who was hearing impaired. Yet…. the room was SO tiny. I was very very thankful I was traveling by myself! There was no way a wheelchair could’ve accessed the bathroom or gotten to the bed. When entering the room, there was maybe 2 1/2 feet between the corner of the refrigerator and the corner of the wall into the space where the bed was, and the area where the bed was placed had only a small walking area on either side. The entryway Into the room was narrow, not allowing for the necessary turning radius of a wheelchair, and I’ve never seen such a small bathroom vanity in a hotel. There was a small bit of counter surrounding the round sink and then just a strip of countertop that ran across the top of the toilet that was about 8-10” deep, so I struggled to find a place to even put my clean clothes while showering where they werent at risk of falling into the toilet. There was a very small desk area that was possibly about 18” deep between the foot of the bed and wall! I had no idea hotel rooms came in this size!!! I was on the first floor and the voices from people in the hallway could be heard clearly as though they were talking directly to me. Thankfully, I had a good sound machine app on my cell phone. On the positive side, the room was quite clean and the bed was very comfortable. All doors in the hotel are locked, including the front door so there’s only access with a key which seemed odd when I was trying to check in. Breakfast was decent and I appreciate that they had hard boiled eggs since I have to eat gluten-free. The hotel wasn’t that much cheaper than hotels with standard size rooms so it’s unlikely I would stay in a Microtel again.
