I’d stay again. The staff at the front desk was very welcoming! The facility was showing some signs of aging. Breakfast was pretty good. The fitness center had only two pieces of exercise equipment and one was not working. The layout of the office the rooms was nice.

Nice location, But Could Have Been Better Upon check-in, we were given keycards. When we got upstairs neither of the two keycards would work. We went back downstairs. The man said he programmed them to the wrong room number. We went back up to room to check to make sure it was to our satisfaction before we took our luggage up. Room appeared clean. Nice roomy with comfortable beds. The two ottomans that were used as a "coffee table" type setting looked very worn. The main issue we had was upon inspection of the bathroom, it didn't appear it had been cleaned thoroughly. The shower was dirty with a dark ring of dirt and hair inside the tub. There was a used bar of soap in the shower soap holder. We went back downstairs and told the man at the desk. He just shrugged his shoulders. We decided to clean it ourselves with the clorox wipes and lysol spray we had brought. Our stay was two night and on the final morning we exited our room with some of our belongings to take to vehicle and was going to eat and return to room to get the rest of our belongings. As we exited our room there was an employee checking rooms that she thought apparently had been vacated. She was two doors down and unlock a door. The safety lock was engaged on the inside, and she said, "I hate when they do this to me". She was upset that she was told by someone downstairs that the guest had checked out. A man inside the room then opened the door and she said she thought they had checked out. He said, "no, we actually arranged to stay an extra night." She then turned us and and said, "Look at this paper, doesn't it say that room # so and so is suppose to be vacant?" I said, "Well, we are in room # - - -, so please don't enter our room thinking we have checked out. I feel that there should be some adjustments in protocol at this hotel. Maybe better communication between workers so that rooms are cleaned entirely and check outs and not check outs are clear to the ones needed to clean the room. It's in a great location, but I can't tolerate dirty bathrooms. When one pays for clean hotel, one should get a thoroughly cleaned room.

Do not stay here! If you want strangers rifling through your belongings, this is the place for you! We made sure to put the “do not disturb” sign on our door. We left our room briefly, and when we returned, the sign was gone, and housekeeping staff had clearly gone into our room and moved our things around. As far as we could tell, they didn’t steal anything, but we’re still checking. Also, the AC did not keep our room adequately cooled overnight. 0 stars, would not recommend!

This is getting old…. Here we go again with the same slack cleaning of the rooms. The first room smelled musty and wet. The second one smelled too but not near as bad. Could not get a late checkout until one of us got up early and called the desk in the morning, which defeats the purpose of getting a late checkout! After sleeping right through my alarm the morning before, I was waking up about every 1-2 hours to check the time. So, when 8:35 AM came around I was awake and called the front desk and asked them for a late checkout. Sure, no problem. You can leave @12 instead of the usual 11 AM. Great. Back to bed. Got up at the time set to get up. We were 3/4 of the way to getting out and one of the maids knocks on the door @ 11:35! Really? Again? We had the “do not disturb” tags on the door but they were ignored. Evidently the head maid doesn’t know how to communicate with her subordinates or the front desk guy that showed me the post-it note with the late checkout time that he wrote on it lied to me and didn’t tell anybody in housekeeping.

Convenient location Nice property, conveniently located off I-40 at Casey Jones Village. The north end of the hotel is closest to I-40, you will hear road noise. Get a room at the south end where it is more quiet. Spacious room, comfortable as usual. Breakfast was ok - but dining room chairs are worn out and need to be replaced. They sit too low for the table! Parking lot secure - would stay here again.
