Super 8 by Wyndham Jamestown

Interesting A good value. We got to our room it had not been cleaned. We obtained the sheets and towels and our friend cleaned the bathroom while we made the beds. I don’t blame the hotel for an error on the cleaners. I usually leave the housekeeper a tip, but not this time. They gave us a discount which was much appreciated.

Good value Clean, everything you need. Close to the freeway. Jamestown looks like a sweet little town, had no trouble finding a good morning coffee place. Not sure what else to say, I have to get to the 200 character minimum. Glad we stayed here. Whoopdedoo ...

Meth underworld We’re not expecting the Ritz, but we were expecting a non-smoking room. It was clear that the last guest had smoked a full pack of cigarettes in our room. The cigarette smoke smell was thick. When we gave a call to the front desk, the women working here were clearly not interested in the hotel. They dismissed our complaint and told us that hotel was fully booked and we couldn’t change rooms. And they truly didn’t care about the cigarette smoke. If you’re going to stay here, it’s clearly at the center of the meth trafficking underworld, so hold your kids close! You just might survive the smoke filled night.

Decent Room, Safe Location We decided to stay here because of the location and although it was expensive for basic accommodation it was secure. We were in the process of moving and didn't have any issues leaving our stuff in the car overnight.

Not the best motel stay!! We stayed here on a long road trip across the US from Canada. Upon arrival, they checked us in fairly quickly. Got to our room and the keys didn't work, so went back and got new keys. The room upon first appearance was fine. However, of the 2 lamps in the room (only light source) neither worked and both had broken glass bulbs in them, huge fire hazard. So I called down to the office to get new lamps. I left broken ones outside room while we went out to find some dinner. Upon our return, the lamps were gone but no new ones. I went to the front desk and waited and the lady said oh....she put them in storage, didn't realize we needed new ones???? Uhm okay.... so she eventually brought us two more so we had some light. The plug situation is iffy in the room at best. The location is okay and there is a mall across the highway which was the one positive there. It was quite a loud motel... The next morning I went to make coffee with the coffee machine in the room only to discover that the basket for it was completely missing so unable to make coffee....UGH. We went down to the continental breakfast and all that was left was 1 yogurt, 1!!! That was at 8am. We left and had to go buy breakfast. All in all, I would NOT recommend this motel. this is the 2nd Super 8 we have stayed in the past year and neither was great.
