Sadness We prefer to stay at Comfort hotels when possible. This place had amazing reviews, but we were disappointed here. Our first room had random stains here and there so we were quickly moved. The new room also had some stains, but was better. The pool area is very pretty, but the water felt like snowmelt. What we thought was a hot tub is a jetted pool, but not a heated one. Due to Coronavirus, breakfast is limited, but biscuits and gravy, cereal, hot pockets and pastry were available.

The Best of the Best! I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels/motels in my 59 years, and I’ve got to say, this is the only hotel that I’ve returned to. And not just once, but time after time. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms clean and comfortable; what more could you ask of a hotel? Yes, train tracks are across the highway from the hotel, but on the third floor (I always stay on the third) you don’t notice the trains, even facing the highway. Cars and trucks, that’s a different story. Teenagers and loud exhaust pipes still go together. Due to being in the middle of the COVID-19 scare, breakfast has been cut back to cold cereal, juice, yogurt and muffins. A lot of the restaurants in the area, which were few to begin with, are no more. Like everywhere else, mask signs and shields at reception are abundant. These are the times we live in. When you come here, don’t get in a hurry and don’t worry. You’ve found big city comfort with small town friendliness. Relax and enjoy the slower pace. You won’t find a better place to do it than Comfort Suites Jewett. Like home away from home. P. S. - I was not compensated for this recommendation, but I wouldn’t refuse it.

Wonderful stay at this hidden gem! We stayed at the Comfort Suites in Jewett while visiting family for Thanksgiving. We are a family of 6, with our youngest kids being 15 month old twins (who sometimes don't travel well). We stayed in one of the suite style rooms with 2 queen beds, and it was the perfect amount of space for us, all of our luggage, and our two pack'n'plays for the toddlers. The room was immaculately clean, and the staff was all super friendly and helpful. We asked for a room on the end, so if our toddlers were fussy they wouldn't disturb other guests and they were so nice and accommodating about it. The breakfast was more than sufficient and very tasty - there were options for everyone. The front desk staff was so nice, they even offered to help us load our car when we were checking out and getting ready to leave. We will absolutely be staying there again and can't say enough nice things about our stay. The only thing I would advise is to bring sugar/creamer/sweetener with you if you are a have-coffee-before-you-leave-the-room kind of person. There is plenty of coffee condiments in the breakfast area downstairs, but not any in our room (which wasn't a huge deal for us, I pack those things anyway!).

Wow! A jewel among the common. Your traveling on I-35 near Buffalo TX. Ahead you see the lights of several well known hotel chains. This will do! you think,or will it? You have just entered the worn out zone. Without knowing, by settling for the ordinary you have missed a rare opportunity to enjoy a luxurious hotel stay at a excellent rate. Just seven miles to the west of Buffalo TX off I-35 is Jewett TX. Jewett is a tiny little town with no visible industry but a very nice hotel. The rooms and amenities are luxurious. Spacious rooms, comfortable bedding, clean restrooms, delicious breakfast are all yours if you can delay your gratification seven minutes, seven miles. To make it better the rates are considerably lower than all hotels on the intestate. The staff are excellent, the rooms great, the rates superb, what more could you ask for.
