Maui seaside Great team very nice pool and lounge area with pretty views. The front desk team were top notch!!! The taste restaurant was very good too, attached to the resort. I enjoyed it thoroughly and would recommend especially for the budget savvy traveler.

Awesome pool area The pool area at the hotel was amazing. The little beach area was nice also. Rooms are very dated and could use some work. Example of my comment is white wicker furniture in the rooms. The room was very clean when we arrived. The staff is very friendly & helpful. The area is not wonderful but there is security patrolling. We had no trouble with anything at the resort.

Best Value - especially if basing out of hotel to go other places on Maui Stayed three nights here from Indiana. This hotel (motel) is not a luxury resort - but it does not claim to be. Room was perfectly clean, was cool on our arrival and stayed cool. Drywall may be a little rough and carpet a little worn, but the grounds and pool are simple yet immaculate. Our bathroom was great and newly remodeled. Also had a clothes drying line. A Security staff person was visible, which ensures a feeling of safety. Staff members seemed happy and had a spring in their step. Maybe It should go without saying, but I’ll say it: we didn’t see any insects of any kind, dead or alive, anywhere. A restaurant shares the parking lot of the hotel and could not be any more convenient. We ate there three times - all were great. The beach and the bay have an industrial feel, which probably would not appeal to families with children between the ages of six and 17. There is no cost “rent” the deck chairs around the pool or in the low depth portion of the pool water, which is about 8 inches deep. The airport shuttle is free. We did not have a rental car, but my memory is that the parking fee is about 1/3 of what other hotels charge to park a rental car. Those three amenities contribute to your savings. Also free bottle filling station. We saved enough here to pay for all of our Maui Excursions. Guests ranged from respectful, quiet, construction workers, to likely Locals to obvious mainlanders like us with both older couples and families with children being represented. (I’m an industrial construction project manager but my wife and I left a mainland hotel once with our kids many years ago because of obnoxious construction workers. Much different here. I suspect Management does not tolerate disruptive behavior.). We considered staying at a major brand near the airport, but decided to stay here and we have zero regrets. We were on the island several weeks and stayed at a variety of accommodations. This locations gets five stars from us for being all we hoped it would be and being a great value compared to so many Maui hotels. Maui Seaside Hotel helped make our vacation happy, wonder-filled and affordable.

Cozy and convenient I have repeatedly stayed at Maui Seaside for work trips, even before the renovation started. It's an older hotel, but it has its own flavor. You may feel a sense of real Hawaii as local communities often use this hotel. I see working improvement and updating styles. It's a nice hotel because it's conveniently located, comfortable, clean, and has everything I need. The staff is helpful and friendly.
